Yeah, just did a bit of reading about the guy. Bit more to him than that by the sounds of it. I really don't like the way we are moving toward giving Poch more and more control over recruitment. Of course, he should have a major input and a big say in who comes and goes, but our transfer activity has been pretty uninspiring the last couple of years, since our recruitment structure went tits up, with Mitchell resigning etc.

Really really analyse what you need. Do your homework and you can do wonders for peanuts. Sevilla in the Ramos days was the best example of this.
We really need to get more stuff right. Liverpool have been doing this. But their recruitment team does nothing else it seems - they Excel the shit out of their transfers.

Sevilla was all about Monchi, who moved to Roma last year.

looks like there will be a few big stars possibly moving after the world cup:
Neymar, Lewi, Ronaldo, Hazard....will create a lot of churn with the top teams and could create more openings for teams like our own

Talk of Bayern selling a few players if decent offers come in. Thiago, Bernat, Vidal and Boateng.

Apparently Thiago wants to leave too.

Any chance of that being our second player from Germany? I could see Pep wanting him myself.

This is what I’ve thought since the price range was announced. He was mentioned as a £50 million target for City a month or so ago. He’d have to compete with De Bruyne, Silva, Fernandinho, and now Jorginho. We have Winks who is remotely comparable in central midfield, other than Eriksen who is generally more advanced.

You said Thiago twice ;)

Would love him and Vidal here. Boateng is very good, but he's been having so many injuries.

I think anything between £40 and 50m is a fair price for him considering he's now entering his peak years and has had a few injury problems. I think it'd be as good a deal as we could get all summer for that price.

Yep but meant it was seemingly both wanting out with Thiago. Club wants to sell and he wants to go it seems. With the others i've not read anything about them wanting to leave, just that Bayern want to shift them.

Sorry to be off topic but I've asked elsewhere & had no response. Can anyone tell me whether HITC is an accpetable source for the Spurs on The Front Page section? They've got a new article about Malcom but his threads seem to have disappeared & I don't want to be posting something I shouldn't.

German journalist Christian Falck which follow Bayern Munich closely, reckon that Bayern is offloading Thiago, Vidal, Bernat and boateng if the right offer comes. I'd take Bernat and Thiago
