Atletico Madrid confirming both Greizmann (which we all knew about after his stunt) and Hernandez signing contract extensions along with Lemar signing up seems like a fun day. No idea if Lemar will ever live up to the hype or fee associated with him but he is the kind of player people get excited about.

Not passing judgment on them as players or people. Just saying if tomorrow Spurs announced two contracts and a signing this place would erupt. Props to their fanbase for I am sure was a fun day even if one is a prat and one a cheat.
Nah all good. After Saturday I just think he is a lowlife.

IF...and a big if...Goetze could stay fit, lose some pounds, and be sure to buy into Poch's ethos, then he would be a hell of an Eriksen back up and play with him. Sadly I don't think that's possible with his problems. Such a pity. Love him as a player.

It’s not the matter of her I’m staying fit he has an irreversible muscle disorder/disease. His weight gain isn’t probably a combination of steroid treatments and his inability to train fully. But yeah he was a lovely little player.

Looks like West Ham are going to sign Issa Diop from Toulouse. 25m. Not a player I know anything about.

Tall gangly type, but actually not a bad cb. Reminds me a bit of Gardner. Only 21, already played two and half full seasons. Likes to go on the odd charge up the pitch with the ball and is a threat at set pieces too.

Was he a holding midfielder when we were linked with him, or am I thinking of a different Diop?

Wasn't that one something like papa check diop or something?

Sounded like the onomatopoeia of someone having a poo
That's the fella. Signed for Lyon for €14 million last summer and hasn't made an appearance for them yet.

I think he's had a game or two for them, I just assume no one gives enough fucks to update Wikipedia.

Someone should make a XI of all the hype players that people say we should sign, but we don't, and they end up unremarkable.

I think Spursking's got that one covered with his scouting website.

You could've been describing a young Ogbonna. Hope he's just as shite.

Inter looking to take Malcom on a 8m loan with a obligation 30m after.

Shame I really liked the look of him.

Couple of interesting signings in progress overnight.

Real Madrid have or will soon confirm Andriy Lunin, a 19yr old Ukrainian goalie. 14m Euros. Already an international though.
Roma look like they'll get Pastore and Inter will get Nainggolan. Looking forward to the Twitter video...
Willem Guebbels, a 16yr old forward from Monaco, has joined Lyon for 20m Euros. 'spensive.

What does Mendes get from having so many players at wolves? Is it basically a glorified shop window? Plus he can guarantee his players playing time in the premier league because if Wolves don't do what he says he can pull the rug out from underneath them?
I'm fairly sure he's unofficially a part owner. He's not allowed to technically be one because he's an agent, or something like that, but he's close friends with the official owner and has a lot of say in the decisions they make. I don't think he'll pull teh rug from them because of his relationship with the actual owner.

I've posted this before, but I remember reading something a while ago about how the owner and Mendes have huge plans for Wolves and aim to follow a similar path as Manchester City to turn them from yo-yo club to superpower. It's something about how they believe the area around Wolverhampton and surrounds has room for a super power club and could have massive potential for further growth. Something like that anyway.

I think they're both in it for the long haul and when it comes to the PL, Wolves are here to not only stay, but prosper. I think their transfers have already shown, and will continue to show in this window and next summer's, that they have some serious European ambitions they want to meet within the next few years.

I think wolves’ owner owns a share in Mendes’ company
