Fuck City, when are they going to put an end to this shit? Why the hell did they need Mahrez?

Reckon he’ll be Southampton’s number 1 soon. He’s pretty good.

Made around 50 appearances last season for Norwich.

Must mean Forster is on his way out though

Forster was terrible for many periods last season to be honest.

City are like playing a game of football manager with a buddy and finding out they changed the source code to set their transfer budget to £999,999,999,999.99.

Was geninely shocked to see that £60m is City's record transfer. Thought it would be way more than that. I guess they just spend around that sum multiple times in a window.

Works out well for all involved - Real get £100m+ for a 33 year old, Ronaldo gets a payday and an escape from Spain, plus he gets to boss it up in a weak league to mask his impending decline

Weak league is a misconception. Serie A isn't fashionable, but it's a strong league. Yes, Juve have dominated whilst being challenged every now again by the likes of Roma and Napoli, but the battles between teams outside of that have been very good. IMO, it's a more competitive league than Germany's which is also pretty one-sided. Spain has 3 excellent sides and a couple of decent outfits but after that it's pretty shite. Again, I think there's just as much competition in Italy. The pace is a little slower, so I guess he'll prefer that, but it's not that bloody slow, and games aren't always 1 nil catenaccio affairs like some would believe. I remember doing a comparison a couple of years ago of the top leagues in Europe and Serie A consistently produces high goal rates, along with high top scorers. Maybe not as pacey, but a little more tactical and certainly entertaining enough. Afterall, we still get subjected to the likes of Stoke vs West Brom over here...

Serie A defenders aren't as much of a pushover as they are in La Liga and Ronaldo is going to get seriously targeted. There's a reason why Ibrahimovic said it's harder to score goals in Italy and when comparing Italy to France he said how he's faced better teams in Serie B than he has playing in Ligue 1. Having said that Ronaldo is one of the best players of all time. Fit as a fiddle and still immensely talented, so I expect he'll bang in goals for fun anywhere he goes, even at 33.

I think this is a great deal for Juve, especially since the big push is for the CL as that's eluded them since '96. They have the money. People wondering how they can afford it have to understand that Juve are one of the wealthiest clubs around, they just don't show it sometimes. They're owned by the same family that own Fiat and Ferrari. Juve's MO isn't usually about splashing the cash on transfers and paying mega wages but when an opportunity comes along they'll take it. They've done so plenty of times in the past.

na gonzo's going
Would imagine Dybala would want to get out of Jive with Ronaldo joining.

I don't think either need to go really. Juve often play with a system that allows for 3 strikers. Gonzo has worked with Ronaldo before and Dybala can easily play behind the 2 of them. Mandzukic has been often cited as leaving this year. Out of the two though, Higuain is the more likely to leave.

Personally, I'd rather sell Higuain and keep Mandzukic for the hard work he puts in. There are enough goals in Ronaldo and Dybala, with others like Cuadrado, Douglas Costa and Bernadeschi supporting who can also chip in. Based on last season's performance I'd say Douglas is likely to start. Ronaldo flanked by him and Dybala would be very strong. Mandzukic would make an excellent backup to that and offers something different.

I'd think that Ronaldo arriving would make them want to stay and try to be a part of something to be honest.

So crazy that a 33 year old has gone for that money too.

Angus Gunn and Norwich. I'm guessing he's Bryan Gunn's son ? Former Scotland and Norwich goalkeeper.

West Ham confirmed Yarmolenko - actually a good signing. If their team clicks they could do well.

Showing some ambition tbf to the ****s.

Have they strengthened their defence yet? If not, they still won't get top 10.

It looks good but will all end in tears...players with big reputations and even bigger wages. The centre-back seems good but Wilshere failed to reach his potential at Arsenal and even struggled when on loan at Bournemouth with poorer quality players around him. There is a reason why a team like Dortmund are happy to see Yarmolenko leave - flashes of brilliance but underwhelming over a season. In fact, much like Arnoutovic and Lanzini. They want to play the mythical 'West Ham' way and feel these signings will appease the fans, but it smacks of opportunism rather than genuine long-term ambition.

Has something gone seriously wrong with Yarmolenko in the last couple of years and have West Ham won the lottery?!
