It looks good but will all end in tears...players with big reputations and even bigger wages. The centre-back seems good but Wilshere failed to reach his potential at Arsenal and even struggled when on loan at Bournemouth with poorer quality players around him. There is a reason why a team like Dortmund are happy to see Yarmolenko leave - flashes of brilliance but underwhelming over a season. In fact, much like Arnoutovic and Lanzini. They want to play the mythical 'West Ham' way and feel these signings will appease the fans, but it smacks of opportunism rather than genuine long-term ambition.

Their wage bill must be huge, surely?

Has something gone seriously wrong with Yarmolenko in the last couple of years and have West Ham won the lottery?!
It turned out he wasn't that good. Not trying to be mean he just wasn't. He's fast and good for one to two wonder goals a season (probably against us since we love to let a player cut inside) but beyond that he's average to irratic at the rest of the game.

Have they strengthened their defence yet? If not, they still won't get top 10.

Linked with Balbuena, who is a very good defender. Widely regarded as the best in the Brazilian league.

Something will go wrong for them, of course. Them being perpetual failures makes me vaguely believe in karma.

The moves are starting to happen now that the World Cup is over for most players! Shaqiri to Liverpool is a strange one.

Personally i think its a very good buy for them. They have really problems with attacking depth and he will be cheep and tested in the PL. He wont get a lot of starts. I can see him doing well for them in their tactics. I wouldn't want him myself but we are stacked for attacking mids and they arent.

Not necessarily. They are spending a lot on Keita and Fabinho, and may well go back in for Fekir. Their depth beyond Firmino, Salah, and Mane is basically just what remains of Lallana's body, the yet unproven Solanke, and the wholly unsuited to their system Sturridge. They could probably scrounge up 40-50m on sales and put themselves on the borderline of FFP.

Fuck City, when are they going to put an end to this shit? Why the hell did they need Mahrez?
Put an end to what? Team's are allowed to buy and strengthen it's not illegal all the best sides do it or at least should keep strengthening their teams to stay at the top, it's down to all the other clubs to react to it and do what they need to do accordingly.

Yup, and for the price quoted it doesn't even matter if his role at Liverpool is limited to occupying the whole of their substitutes bench.

Not liking that West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool are signing players like there's no tomorrow right now. West Ham have only signed shitty players though..

Fulham looking to sign Sari, which is odd as was someone us and Arsena were supposed to be competing for last summer?

Would think bigger clubs would be in for him?

You think teams going several years with plus 150 mil net spend is good for the league and football in general? The leagues are the best when they are competitive. Look at what has happened to the Bundesliga and Serie A. I know City have just won one in a row but they just wiped the floor with everyone and are buying more 50+ million backups.

Was always going to be the case especially in West Ham and Arsenal's case, as they have so much they need to improve on.

Bloimey, Jorginho has been heading to City all summer and now he's suddenly heading to Chelsea: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...nchester-city-target-jorginho-transfer-window

It's a funny old game.

I hope we enquired about him, if he wanted to play in a high press team in London we would have been a perfect fit. I'd say his old manager going to Chelsea helped.

As for Yarmolenko, there is clearly something wrong behind the scenes, only made 18 appearances last year, his only year in Germany. Then gets shifted out for an undisclosed fee.

Seems that Felipe Anderson, who United wanted to buy couple years ago, is close to join West Ham for 40m

Arsenal have just lost a few players to free transfers as well.

Yeah exactly, they need to fills the gaps. They're one of the teams I'll be most intrigued about next season. That first game against City is one I can't wait for. I really hope they lose and lose bad, even if I do really hope City show signs of weakness this season.
