I find the Mahrez deal an odd one. I think he’s a very talented footballer, but in terms of character and attitude, work off the call etc, he just doesn’t seem to fit Guardiola’s ethos at all. And from Mahrez's perspective, it's a bit of a gamble going somewhere where you know you may well not start a lot of games. Look at Bernado Silva.

Sterling should be looking over his shoulder IMO. Mahrez is everything Sterling isn't. He has end product Sterling doesn't.

Sterling is also a lot Mahrez isn't in that he covers a tremendous amount of ground, is willing to do the dirty work, and can be a great outlet with his speed. Sterling also had 18 goals and 11 assists last year so his end product was not slouch despite it not coming off for England. They are both very good just very different players, which may be what Pep wants.

Sterling scored 18 goals and 11 assists last season. Which is 6 goals and 1 assist more than Mahrez. He also works a lot harder than Mahrez does for the team without the ball.

Italian media has been reporting for a long time and even juve fans are convinced he'll move.Juve signing caldara also indicates rugani is out.
Still, nothing about Rugani's achievments and career so far scares me. Serie A team of the year when he was on loan at Empoli was an achievment, but at no point in the last three seasons has he managed to force his way into Juve's first XI.

Is Kante being linked with a move?
Sky Italy reporting this morning that Barcelona are offering them cash plus Andre Gomes for him. Also a lot of PSG followers seem to think they are eyeing him as well but no idea how firm the latter interest is.

Yeah agreed, very odd signing as they’re quite strong on wing and can’t see him getting many starts.

William Carvalho signs for Real Betis.

He looked like an absolute beast in that U20 (or was it U19) WC that Veljkovic's Serbia won a few years back, but every time I watch him lately he seems to turned into a rich mans Huddlestone. To be fair, most of what Ive seen has been with Portugal at the Euro's and WC, so not best environment to judge I guess as they play very passive football, but he just looks so ploddy for them.

I honestly think Sterling scores/assists because of the quality of the players around him and maybe also because of City's general style of play. In Leicester's winning season Mahrez got similar numbers (17 goals and 11 assists) but without same world class players that Sterling has setting him up.

Watching Sterling for England he looks like an above average player, not top class. Rashford typically looked more dangerous when he came on imo.
