I think Keita is the really big add there. I don’t think Fabinho is any better than Can (who I wasn’t a big fan of anyway) who they lost on a free and I think Fekir is a great player, but that attack with Mane, Firmino, and Salah was already great. Maybe they’ve got more injury insurance, but the fact is they got insanely lucky with injuries last year so I don’t think it necessarily takes them a step up but instead prevents a probable step back.
Yep, I think Keita is going to be a revelation this season, and the next break-out PL star.

I think Liverpool's front line is insanely good so much pace and variation and they seem to have the beating of city albeit the one game when city ruined them.
The main issue I see them having is that they only play one way on the front foot and maybe their team is slightly unbalanced because of the top heavy nature of their side, but whatever happens they are a threat and will be there again amongst it this year.

Keita is a great signing, who will suit the PL and especially Liverpool to a tee. But don’t underestimate the value of having 4, instead of 3, top drawer attacking options. Having to rest one of those three always made Liverpool weaker last year.

The issue might be Fekir’s willingness to buy into Klopp’s ethos, especially if he’s not starting every week.

I like Fabinho, he’s not a glamorous signing, but he’s more dynamic than Can, and will also improve them defensively imo.

Its only great if Salah scores another 40 goals!

Chelsea looking like they're going to close on Golovin, between him and and Jorginho those are really good additions to their midfield and were desperately needed. Will be really interesting to see if they can keep hold of Hazard this year, if so they could be a force to be reckoned with once again.

I pray for Spurs twitter, and the ITK thread if that £62m Alisson deal to Liverpool goes through soon. We really do have to do things the hard way compared to the competition!

Will be curious to see what Chelsea do here. Not sure if he's just generally speculating or actually going off on some info but Kristof Terreur (Belgian journalist) seems to think Chelsea may make an official bid for him soon. Chelsea V Liverpool would be an interesting transfer battle as Chelsea you'd imagine would have more money but are likely gonna be losing two of their best players in Courtois and Hazard, plus with no CL football this year...

If Liverpool do succeed in getting Alisson then they'll have spent an insane amount over the last few seasons but will look like they've got a pretty incredible team out of it (annoyingly).

I certainly think Chelsea are lurking on this one. Courtois seems to want out and only has one year left. They have clearly chosen Alisson as their ideal replacement.

Problem is Madrid have them over a barrel if they sign Alisson first. Liverpool might have timed this to perfection. I'd much rather he went to Chelsea!

Liverpool have done their business well this season and for the most past done well the last couple of seasons. It may sound a little bitter but there's been an element of luck to their transfers that has paid off more than it has with ours. Obviously Salah being the main case in point here. You assumed he'd be good for Liverpool but premier league golden boot record breakingly good? Pretty much literally no-one, Salah Included, would have expected that when the season started.

It's all falling into place with them looking in from the outside, just gotta hope their pieces don't work out.

It's weird now wanting Chelsea to sign a good player but here we are...

Not as lucky as us plucking a world class PL and WC golden boot winning striker from our academy to be fair! Or signing one of the best young AMs in football from league one.

Salah certainly bailed them out for the Coutinho sale though I agree.

Firmino, Naby Keita, Fabinho, Mane and Salah himself were all considered to be very good signings in the European football community, even if Salah exceeded all expectations.

They only really clicked as a team once Coutinho was out of the starting 11.

They're a well balanced side now and it'll be interesting to see how their new signings slot in and the system they play.

Let's have it right, they could be fucking brilliant this season if they pull all these signings off and they live up to expectations.

Very true, if I'm calling them lucky for Salah, we've got to be lucky for just how good and consistent Kane has been.

The Coutinho saga not ruining them or even causing them any kind of a blip is amazing.

I do find it a little interesting that both Chelsea and Liverpool weren't even slightly interested in Rui Patricio. I'd have to assume it's an age thing? Still, he's a fairly decent keeper who's gone to Wolves of all teams on a free. Felt Liverpool might have been tempted though I guess going all out for Alisson is the better move overall if they land him.

There aren't many top options on the market. Oblak and De Gea seem happy at their respective clubs. Schmeichel and Pickford probably way too expensive. Will be interesting where the loser of this Alisson battle goes. Butland maybe.
