reece oxford played for west ham u21s tonight, i'm sure that was well worth missing the chance to captain your country at a world cup.

God BG, can't you see the benefit of him playing against Wolves u21s. He could have been missing some serious development if he was playing in a massive tournament against the best players in the World in his age group...

Sterling on the right makes so much sense, though I'm surprised they're not going with Hinds up top, though I did like Ugbo when I saw him against Chelesa, thought he was decent. Will balance this with wathcing Oduwa

for me hinds was dropping too deep and didnt play that well. ugbo is a brute who will stay up there and close people down better which is what this team needs

Call me miserable but I prefer Sterling up front

He is definitely better upfront, but if he isn't going to play upfront, then he should be fit in on the right. He's not the best winger, but he will work hard and has pace running in behind. The other winger options aren't great so it's a way to fit him in if he isn't striker.

this is a pretty dull game, edwards has only touched the ball about half a dozen times.

Yates is also poor I think doens't know what he's doing goign forward. Like what I've seen of Arnold and Kane looks a lot better, Suliman is still poor too

Looks to me England are struggling with Brazil's pressing game. England boys are having to do everything at a much quicker pace and some of them seem to not have the quickness of thought or control. Brazil's off the ball movement is far superior at the moment.

Ah that second chance he should have probably taken.

Unlucky Kaz, great movement in the box, not a lot more he could have done there

Three good chances for Sterling in opening 10 mins of 2nd half. England now looking more dangerous going forward.

Almost a bad mistake by Whiteman. First one I don't know why Suliman would pass it to him there

Not at all impressed with Willock, seems a very one dimensional player on this showing.

Is the ref having a laugh? How is that a foul yet alone a booking? Look where the ball has gone you fucker.

Edit: And they score from it. Never thought I'd be fuming at a ref in an U17 game. Diabolical.

Ridiculous booking for Sterling. Wins the ball, gets his shin kicked, gets booked.

Edit: FFS

How is that a foul. He got the ball what was he meant to do. Stopped a massive counter there.

That goal had been coming mainly due to the number of mistakes our defenders had been making. Bit harsh on Sterling though as he had a right to challenge for the ball.
