I wouldn't mind letting him go if we can get someone really good in. With someone really good I mean Keita, Martial or someone of that calibre. If he's leaving and we don't replace him or replace him with someone like Demarai Gray it feels quite pointless.

Then we should be buying people we can immediately trust. I get it if he came through our youth ranks, but we bought him (and N'Jie) as they were - promising, young but raw - sat them on the bench, brought them out with 5 minutes left for the odd game here and there and then shipped them off. Either give them a chance or splash more cash and buy someone who's ready to contribute, but doing neither is doing nothing.
I agree that that is what we probably should have been doing and that it appears we are now operating in this manner. However, we did bring in and put our trust in a scouting team (Mitchell & Webb) and therefore felt that finding talent that was more attainable and cheaper would be better. After the failure of N'Jie, Mitchell/Webb and the realisation that N'Koudou isn't yet ready, it looks like we have decided to fight for the more prominent players but wait it out to see who is left.

Yeah fair enough, good point that.

We probably rejected the offer because we aren't able to sign any wide forwards that we want and need to keep him around just for depth! #SCLogic

You're correct that they didn't get a lot of chances, but Poch fancies himself a true training ground coach. It seems you impress him there or you're never going to get time.

I really can not understand why we buy a certain type of players then don't really give them a chance. GKN is a very skillful player with devastating pace, his injured at the moment, you'd like to think with the number of games we potentially have this season he could be given more opportunities to play so that we can truly see what he can offer.

Probably because the manager doesn't think they're good enough.

Unfortunately for any talent he has, his chance, what little he got, has probably passed. Last season with only sissoko ahead of him in back up and Lamela out, he still didn't get barely any minutes. If proper replacements come in (Barkley/a winger), he will be behind better competition. The small number of minutes he did get are probably better placed with Edwards/Sancho?
