Spurs midfielder Hossam Ghaly has declared that the Noe Pamarot challenge which knocked out four teeth was an accident.
"I do not think Pamarot meant to do me any harm," he told FilGoal about the kick he received to the face against Portsmouth.
The Egypt international left the field after the incident in the first minute, but returned ten minutes later to play the rest of the first half.
"At first I didn't realise how serious the injury was," he continued. "[At half time] I demanded that [Spurs boss] Martin Jol replace me."
He also revealed that he has experienced the problem before. "This is not the first time I have lost teeth," he said. "It happened to me with Feyenoord against Ajax."
He added that he will play with a mask in upcoming Tottenham matches.

I did think that BMJ was a bit harsh at the time as it looked like an accident to me.
