They do this from time to time. Same odds of 4/9
If a lot of money suddenly goes on a deal they will often halt betting to see who is doing the betting (gamblers in their ecosystem they have tagged as being indicators to stop betting) and will reach out to their contacts to see if they should pull the betting. If not they'll repost it on short odds and let the market work itself out.

Never take betting as a sign of transfers/moves. Doesn't it just mean a tonne of people betting on it?

Not sure this has been mentioned but Llyal Thomas on a podcast confirmed we are looking at Lo Celso and that our primary target positions are n.o 10 and n.0 6/8 so Lo Celso and N’Dombele then after that we are after a RW, Sessengon and a RB or CB if we sell Toby it Trippier.

That’s a fake account. His handle on Twitter is ‘Lyall’

Regarding betting on transfers, the markets are usually so small that even a bet of say £5 represents a massive shift and can swing the odds hugely. The price fluctuations are incredible and they genuinely are no barometer of the likelihood of a transfer.

Not a ton, probably just 1 sizeable bet can change a transfer or manager market significantly, personally I wouldn't touch them and I wouldn't be confident we have signed anyone until they are officially revealed.

I think it is more the pattern of bets that is revealing, bookies change the odds based on volume but they suspend betting when something obvious happens, something like a huge bet coming in from Seville or lots of bets from a player's home town. If either or both of those have happened then I would be confident that this is a done deal.

Probably already been said a million times in here but there’s no way we’ll sign Lo Celso if Eriksen stays and we get Ndombele. Even if Levy has a miraculous personality transplant and decides to splash mad papes, I’m not sure it’s Poch’s style to have that many options in one department.

Got stick from the FIFA / Football Manager dreamland brigade for suggesting this a a few weeks ago. Looks like the most recent ITK from Ali Z backs it up now :finger:

So it has to happen. Lamela HAS to go. Sell him to Palace and then he can still be in London to show Lo Chelso around.

I don't think it does at all, I read the incoming/outgoing point was Right Back specific as he went on to talk about Eriksen in a later paragraph without mentioning it. I have never played or even seen a FIFA manager game by the way.

I don’t see why we’d make a bid if it was dependent on someone going.

I’d prefer this guy to Zaha also. Maybe Poch doesn’t though who knows.

Still hoping this one happens

I think if we want to truly compete with the top 2 we need to sign someone like Lo Celso to complement Eriksen and give us more goals and creativity in midfield. We were far too reliant on Eriksen to provide that last season and Lamela is too injury prone and inconsistent. Ndombele will (hopefully) help us creatively with his through balls but Lo Celso would give the real depth required to compete with Liverpool and City over the course of the season.

Ideally we would buy him to replace Lamela but I can't see anyone coming in for him, so as it stands I sadly think we won't sign Lo Celso unless Levy decides to go all out or Eriksen leaves.

There's a deal to be done there with Fulham or Palace.... Please! For the love of God make it so....

I just can't see him wanting to leave - he clearly loves it here and doesn't mind being a bit part player (on solid wages no doubt). Also there's no way in hell he'd step down to the Championship.

Our best bet is probably one of the Italian clubs as he has a decent rep over there and some of them are willing to spend. There haven't been any links at all though so I think him moving on is highly unlikely - especially considering Levy will no doubt want 40 million for him.

Seems momentum on this is cooling with no mentions from the ITK posters compared to the other main targets we've heard still coming up. Seem strange given the media reports of bids being rejected around the time of the CL Final (including the BBC etc) and that most bookies have us well short of odds on (not the biggest indicator but another positive consideration).

Could be that they are playing it cool as competition exists or its stalled whilst we look at shifting players (i.e. Lamela) but until we get clarity we won't know. I've grown used to the idea of signing him having trawled through this 110 page thread! Feel like I've earned something for the time spent! :ROFLMAO:

With Ndombele, Clarke, Sessegnon (potentially brothers) coming along with rumours of Eriksen staying I reckon we're just holding off on this one. I think it is down to squad numbers. Not for registration purposes but it seems like Poch wants a lowish number to keep a tight knit squad.

I think we're still keen, and we will move if we can shift a few but I reckon after those four players mentioned above we won't do anything else until players are gone.

Because of the importance of the signing I think we should just do it and look to do the shifting afterwards, he would be great in the same team as Eriksen as well as a good replacement. He's at such a great age as well and I think we could massively regret not pushing the boat out for him.
