This feels like a real watershed signing now. Ndombele was huge but speaking to fans of other clubs they write it off as expected after 18 months of no spending. Drop another £60m and it sends a message.

At the start of the window I would have said getting Lo Celso and Ndombele in for the outgoing Eriksen was great business by our standards and I stand by that.

Eriksen staying and us affording those two? Dream mode. Although I could live with Bale being included in an Eriksen deal should he leave!

Oh god. I feel like a bit of a prick. After wanting us to take the next step for quite some time and invest alongside our already very, very good squad... I’m sat here thinking that, from the little I have seen of him, there would be better uses for this amount of money. It seems like the complaint of a spoiled child - but I just think that this vast amount of investment could be much better served elsewhere and that I haven’t seen Lo Celso (not that I am overly knowledgeable) exhibit the sort of quality that this price tag indicates...
Our friend Paulinho didn't die for this, buddy.

Can see this happening along with Sessegnon. I think that'll be us done in terms of incomings..... unless we lose Toby and/or Eriksen. If Aurier goes then I'd expect a RB.
It ain't Lo Celso related, but surely sessegnon-rose no? whether we like it or not?

I'll be honest, if Eriksen stays and the big two join, ill be delighted and props to those that said along it wasn't reliant on Eriksen,

Really? He was so good last season. Can glide past players, has strength and can make things happen. He is very left footed but I wouldn’t worry too much, lefties are creative and he’s no different. He has a lot of dembele and Ndombele in him but more likely to get a goal.

Wouldn’t read much into Argentina games

I admit to not watching Betis but I totally agree. He looks made for us from the videos out there (full games vs Madrid and Barca and compilations). Might just be me but I got some VDV vibes off of some of the goals he scored, emphatic finisher. Poch will be just as interested in what you highlighted however - tenacity, passing, dribbling, ability to take the ball under pressure and versatility. JJ seems to rate him highly too.

As for concerns about the fee, we have no idea how it'll be structured. Could be quite favourable in instalments to get up to the required figure.

I watched a fair bit of la Liga and he always looked good. Vdv is an interesting comp that I’d not thought of but he does have a bit of that in him. Like a weird mix of vdv and dembele without hitting the individual heights of either but doing things that neither can do too.

I think the fans will take to him pretty quick and he’s only gonna get better.

If you haven't already, watch the Real v Betis game at the end of last season, Betis won 2-0 iirc and Lo Celso was the best player on the pitch, ran the game completely...he's a gem of a player.

Honestly super excited about this, he isn't the finished article but if anyone is going to make him that it's Poch. Adding him and Ndombele in one window elevates our midfield to the level that can compete with City and Pool, assuming Eriksen stays that is.

Even if Eriksen leaves, we still leave the midfield in a strong position but I am gaining increasing faith that he'll sign a new deal. Fingers crossed but I am getting excited now.

Just a vibe I got from some of the vids. Definitely looks the type of player to be a fan favourite like you say.

I seriously hope we can get him. Looks utter class. Even at the expense of Eriksen (rather keep tho) if we have that pair available and can keep Kane’s ankle injury problems away we will be ready for another go at the title. Fingers crossed he is totally set on coming here only.

I really think Eriksen will stay and Lo celso will still sign. Our midfield will get a massive upgrade and it’s really the biggest and most important are we needed to improve. It’s where big games are won more often than not.

He’s incredibly robust for his size and for his position. He put up really high defensive numbers last year with Betis.

If this pulls off, he looks the quintessential Spurs player to me, with added steel. Only saw him against Madrid, but he was easily the best player on the pitch then.

Adding lo Celso and Ndombele to our midfield is absolutely game changing. With injuries we had we were so short there last season but we are going to dominate midfields and have so much quality up front. I’m even tentatively excited about Foyth and Sessegnon as full backs.
Add Eriksen signing a new contract for us in the mix!! ?

PSG are set to make around €25m from this.

What are the chances Levy has told PSG they can have Danny Rose for say....€25m?

We’d essentially be spending €40m on GLC.

Tough call... go with your evaluation or Pochettino? (n)

If we can get Eriksen to sign a new deal AND sign Lo Celso, that would be a real coup and a huge statement of intent. It’s clear we’re focusing on the midfield as that was a huge weakness last year and it suffered injury galore to top off the depth issue. I just hope we havent forgotten about the full backs.

I wouldn't take anything for granted with thfc , our Daniel wants to recoup as much as possible from player sales to cover our recent tranfer of 63m , le celso is for the birds, forget it

Or more likely he’ll just renegotiate the fee last minute, like he’s prone to do, to save us money. I’ve no problem with that if we still get the player. With us being the only bidders we probably would still get him.
