Looks like a player with potential that would be a decent squad player and sounds like he has the mentality/attitude to the game that fits Pochs philosophy.

But doesn't seem like a huge step up on what we have and therefore not a player to help take us up to the next level.

Obviously this assessment is after extensive viewing of a couple of YouTube vids...

If there is a solidarity payment to River, I'm surprised the news hasn't come out more widely. But I don't think posting the info jeopardises any deal.

Agents put out soundings to get the best deal possible for their client, and they will be talking.

In addition, Diego Simeone must know what's going on with his son, and that would mean a lot of "football people" must be aware.

As an aside, I'm pretty sure I've seen footage of Poch playing in the same Argentina national team as Diego Simeone, so perhaps there's a constructive relationship there.

So, what I think is interesting, and it doesn't only go for this kid but in general, would be to have Kane, Janssen and one third even younger striker. I think it would give us a crazy level of possibility, both for next season and the future in general. We can't upgrade on striker position anyway, we can only expand.

Right, I don't know a lot about him but from the videos I've watched (and they could be completely misleading) it seems like his movement is pretty decent, his workrate is good and he can cross the ball. He certainly appears faster than Janssen. Only negatives I could spot is his first touch could be better.

In terms of the quality we're all hoping for, maybe a bit underwhelming but, like I said, I'm only basing this off the highlights.

I wouldn't put a number 9 that high on our list of needs, even if I suspect we've already seen the best Janssen has to offer. If we're signing him because he also plays on the right a bit, then I had hoped we could do a bit better.

Would be pretty cool to have Simeone's son here. I see his mum's name is Baldini, naturally I assume Franco is his grandad as there can be only 2, maybe 3 Baldinis around.

Correct, they were both in Argentina's 2002 World Cup squad when Poch was playing for PSG. This thought did cross my mind too.

Unless Janssen is offski, I don't see that a player of his ilk is a particular priority for us over other positions. It would only make a lot of sense if he was an obvious upgrade on Vinny- and I don't know enough about him to make that judgement..
