Not point in even discussing this as Robbo will not be dropped. So we all have to accept this and get on with it.

I'm not accepting shit. Jol needs to be sacked over this, it's costing us big time. We've gone wayyyyy past the threshold for this situation now and wayyyyy past the joke stage, it's just become a very disturbing nightmare and we're a laughing stock in the premiership for it. Every single team we play know they can get late goals against us and know if they play percentage football and lob balls into the box, get free kicks and corners they have an extremely high chance of scoring.

Jol simply hasn't got the balls to take the step and drop him. That's not on for a premiership manager.

think he is a very capable goal keeper....yes i would like to see him sit it out and work on his game come back stronger and fitter..but jol is in charge what he did after villa was make him captain...if your rewarding that then what chance do we have....

None. Yesterday the team did a sterling job and deserved a win and Jol got the tactics right and showed some fire by obviously gearing them up at half time, but he's ruining his chances of keeping his job and ruining Robbo by playing him. It's benefiting no one, and will certainly not benefit England, so Jol is preserving Robbo's Eng. No.1 status for nothing and no one. This situation is like a black hole of pure misery.

Yesterday should have been and deserved to have been the start to our season. But yet again it left the team demoralized after a great effort that deserved a win.

I change my mind with Robbo. He didn't hold the shot which lead to the Liverpool goal but bad defending added to that. Then again his two upfield passes lead to both of our goals. If those passes had been made by the likes of Hoddle or Gazza people would be going on about pin point accuracy, with Robbo they're just punts. He's not a bad 'keeper he's proved that too many times in the past. At the moment things aren't going for him.

Tottenham boss Martin Jol has backed Paul Robinson after the England keeper was criticised in the draw at Anfield.

Robinson, 27, spilled a Steven Gerrard free-kick to gift Andriy Voronin an easy tap-in for Liverpool's opener.

It came on the back of errors against Aston Villa and for England and has increased concerns over his form for this month's Euro 2008 qualifiers.

After the 2-2 draw Jol said: "I have no worries about his form. Every game is different but he still has confidence."

The Dutchman even refused to accept Robinson was at fault for the goal that put Liverpool ahead at Anfield.

He added: "I am not concerned about Paul Robinson's form and suggestions he made another mistake.

"If you see the replay you see that it got a deflection off Jermaine Jenas, hitting his knee.

It was not a mistake. It hit him and Voronin was first to the rebound. Nobody went with the runner, it was just a bad goal from the defence's point of view.

"I still have confidence in Paul and that is why I played him in midweek against Famagusta and at Anfield."

Oh my god, there's ALOT of stupid idiots out there. :bang:
Well done you for such a clever thought out arguement  (i won't lower myself to your level either by name calling either),
My point was that Robinson has been pretty poor this season and has cost us a few goals but what we really should be doing is SUPPORTING the players through there bad spells,
And leave the dropping of players to Jol and the club .

aaaaah....shatter Robbo's cinfidence! The man is being paid a fortune to keep 'us' from loosing and he is 'failing' in that respect....again and again. I suggest that he be dropped ASAP and get the 'ship off the rocks' while the crew are still 'breathing'! Sacrifice 'Englands No 1' (as if that is a good accolade for anyone....1066 and 1966).
Cerny is sufficient to 'tide' us over the next few months.....COYS!

Who is better and who has made less mistakes?
You will find it hard t find an english keeper who beats robbo.. even at the moment.

For some reason, the image of a school parents sack race is conjured up in my mind. Basically the winner being the only **** who manged to fall over less than 17 times.
