The iconic Golden Cockerel that once sat proudly on top of White Hart Lane will be returning home to our new stadium.
A new version stands at approximately 4.5m tall – nearly double the height of the original – and will sit on the stadium’s roof structure above the South Stand.

I hope it is proper 3D cock and not an iconised 2D one, with the stars and stripes on the reverse.

Hardly the most graceful photo to see in the article. Face down to the floor! Also is this a new thing or did we already know this was gonna happen?

"New version"?

Meh. Should be the original. You could hardly see it as is was at WHL so why not just keep it? Good luck charm...and why is it going on the South Stand?? Weird.

The new stadium dwarfs the old one - it's colossal. The original cockerel would be even harder to spot - needed to be much bigger to be prominent at the new ground. South stand positoin is weird....maybe they want it's shadow to be on the pitch during afternoon matches???

Yes, but it's only twice the size. You couldn't even see the original one on the shelf most because it was so small and dating from the old days. There won't be a shadow. They'd need one at least six times as big.

They’ve recreated it to include all the bumps and scuffs too, including one made by Gaza lol!

If it was six times as big that would put it over 10 metres in height .....it would look ridiculous and tacky.....not really what we want for the new stadium.

dunno. i could cope with it being big enough to put all the away fans in permanent shade :hilarious:
Its definitely better than nailing a big green version of barney thats had a few beers too many to the stadium roof.
