Some people say we're a long way off 4th place, but the thing is, football can throw up oddities. It's not impossible. It's not unreasonable to expect for sometimes our peaks to overlap somebody else's troughs.
Without question one of the biggest indicators of the "step up" is indeed to win more games (any games) against the "big four" (or should i say the old big four). However, with expectation being even bigger this year and the belief being greater, we must be wary against complacency (not that BMJ will allow that) and the age old issue of inconsistency.
This is going to be our biggest season for many year and a massive test for players, staff and fans alike.
Looks like that complacency bit us in the backside big time in the first two games of the season and has had us on the back foot since. I can see the shoots of recovery but we certainly haven't done ourselves any favours!
