Graham Hunter on Comolli v Jol

Graham Hunter (Journalist) today was asked why Boetang and Taarabt are rarley picked. He explained that they do not feature, as both signings were Comolli's and not Jol's. Hunter believes both players are superior to the Tanio, Malbranque and Zokora, but due to demise of Jol and Comolli's relationship they will not be picked. He also stated that Ramos will only come to Spurs, if he has complete control over player signings.

The club is in a right pickle from top to bottom. Levy really needs to assert himself and quickly to resolve current bollox

I wouldn't mind if we fire both Comolli and Jole as we really need some changes

Any manager worth his salary, would want complete control over the players, that's the only way to make it work.
Something is seriously wrong at Spurs at the moment, whether this Journo is right or wrong (and I don't agree with him on some player comments), something has to change.

Oh. I though KPB had been unfit for most of the season. Silly me.

Taarabt should be featuring more though as a sub certainly. He can't do any worse than Taizokjenmal.

We will not get a top class manager in unless he is given control of signings.

The backroom guys should be idenifying players at the request of the manager.

Surely Jol has asked for a midfield leader like a younger Davids. But so far nothing. Zokura has failed. Jenas hasn't matured into a leader. All the other signings are players for the "future".

If Comolli hasn't found a replacement for King or Davids.... what's he for then?

Not Taraabt again! :bang:

He is not the messiah! What we need now is some leadership, experience, grit and determination to dig us out of a hole - not some kid with a few party tricks.

I thought it was because they're pretty rough and un-ready.

Because one of them looks about as interested as my overdrawn current account.

The other couldn't pass wind.

This says a lot about Hunter and nothing about Tottenham. Any one who has seen Boateng and Taraabt this season knows they are not ready for the first team yet, though both have vast potential. Hunter clearly either hasn't seen them or is too dozy to understand the realities of the situation. And both have been given tasters of the first team already, despite clearly being bought for the future, which is as it should be. Boateng is currently injured anyway, and I'll be surprised if Taraabt doesn't appear again at some stage in the next ten days when we have three games.
Ramos does not have control over the acquisition and sale of players at Seville and is unlikely to get it in the role of coach anywhere in Europe other than the Premiership, where we have this unusual do-it-all position of manager. For Hunter to say that Ramos wouldn't come without that power is clearly a sh*t-stirring lie.

Hunter is one of the most respectable journo's out there..... though he did say Mourinho was coming to Spurs - and that never happened!

Probably the most crap i will read today. If he actually believes that then clearly he hasnt spent much time looking at our situation.

when commolli worked for the scum he was told by professor yaffle which players to buy!! now he works for us he thinks he can tell the manager which players he is getting. a director of football should get the exact players in the exact positions the manager wants otherwise you have a non-football man making footballing decisions!!

I stopped reading once I got to the part about Taarabt and KBP being better than Tainio, Malbranque and Zokora. Those three aren't a group to set the world alight, but lets put in two, young green, attacking minded players and see what happens to our already shocking defence
