So in one week Grant Ward will go from playing at old Trafford against falcao. To chesterfield away. Hope he causes some problems tomorrow.

A couple of comments on skybluestalk suggesting we might be in for their 18 y.o. midfield prospect James Maddison in the summer, with Ward as a deal sweetener. Other than that, they seem pretty neutral about the signing, doesn't sound like any of them have seen him play before. Hope he impresses.

Can see Ward going the way of Dawkins - MLS, then lower league loan made permanent.

Not sure if there's been anything new, but we were linked earlier in the season. Still not really sure what position he even plays (have heard both forward and midfield, so maybe the swap for Ward would make sense), but I hear he's legit.

A great start for him to get the assist, and apparently nearly scored directly from a corner kick as well. Some twitter comments:

@GrantWard_ the quiet things, beautifully done. Just what we needed. A fans footballer. Makes a difference. #ccfc

Grant Ward fitting in well after joining Coventry on a youth loan from Spurs. Holding the midfield well and good on the ball #ccfc #Spurs

@GrantWard_ great performance today. Thought you were excellent! #PUSB

    Messed up my accumulator...

Good to hear he did well, though.

Glad he's doing well. I don't know if anyone else watches Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, but whenever I see his name I can't help thinking:

For a central midfielder, quite good. He uses his pace and athleticism quite well to disrupt and create play at U-21 level.

Played a lot as RW/RM for Chicago Fire (and indeed u18's), plus played as FB for u18's so quite decent pace.

Can't recall him playing as a CM in u18's, so maybe the CM role is one he was put in after he came back from US and seemed to be doing that well for u21's recently, looked , and seemingly for Coventry, so all credit to him for picking up that role so quickly and playing at League 1 level and doing well

Looks like he has played as a AM, LW and CF (but always with another CF). Where did you hear he is legit (never seen or heard anything about him myself)?

There was a lot of hype between November, when he signed his professional contract, and January in the media/social media. I don't have on the top of my head a good analysis of him, but the accounts I've read of him seem to be quite positive.

He was in the transfer thread I believe. And there were videos posted of him growing up playing football and an article. That what you remember DaSpurs?
