That performance was brilliant; it was a performance without fear, characterised by bravery that was underpinned with a hunger to impose ourselves on the opponent.

That intensity & desire was very much lacking in the last game at home, as we looked tepid & afraid. We didn't press them all over the field, we weren't ready to fight. That has to change next season if we want the big titles because no-one will roll over & hand you a trophy; they have to be taken.

It was also a performance without Harry Kane.

Quite why we've become so insistent on starting him when not fit, when we can play like that without him, and with even more attacking options now, I don't really know.

I suspect it has something to do with his salary, being comprised predominantly of bonus's.

Unless you're Leicester, in which case the last 10 teams they played bent over for them and outwardly admitted they wanted them to win the title.

TBH, I think many teams did the same with City last season.
Liverpool proved they could be demolished if you had a right go at them.
And, when we got our game at Wembley to 1-2, I thought we looked more than capable of turning it around.
But everyone else just tried to play for a 0-0 and got torn apart.

I sincerely hope his "suffering" at our hands will be lengthier and greater next season. ;) All the best to him in a personal capacity! ;)
