Tottenham Hotspur cult hero Gus Poyet has thrown his name into the hat for the Spurs manager’s job. The Greece head coach was asked on the Sacked In The Morning Podcast whether he’d take the Tottenham job. Poyet replied by saying he’d relish the “unbelievable” opportunity to manage Spurs.

Bang average player for us who epitomised a depressing period for the club as a whole. The most exciting thing about us at that time was Simon Davies and hoping Milenko Acomovic could be the next Zidane.

His teams also play shit football. When can you start?

I mean we’re a circus at the moment but surely we aren’t that fucking bad that we’d even consider him???

If we're doing "cult heros" I'd take any one of Thorstvedt, Freund, Zokora or Sandro before him. Any I'm not sure any of them have a minute of managerial experience between them.
