Luis Boa Morte is expected to wrap up his £5million switch to West Ham later on Friday with Matthew Etherington joining Fulham.

The Cottagers' captain was believed to be at Upton Park on Thursday undergoing a medical with Alan Curbishley's side after a deal between the sides was struck according to widespread reports in the English media.

Fulham have been loath to lose Boa Morte in the past having rejected offers from Newcastle United for his services back in the summer of 2005.

However, manager Chris Coleman has deemed the former Southampton and Arsenal man expendable following an injury-hit campaign.

The Welsh tactician has offset the loss of the left-sided man after reportedly securing former Spurs and Peterborough winger Etherington.

The 25-year-old has been a regular for The Hammers this term, but has been allowed to leave in order to move Boa Morte across London.

Its odd we haven't been back in for Boa Morte - we seem to be making bids as high as this for players who are not the finished article yet.

Forget Boa Morte, he's decent but he aint all that! How the hell are we gonna let Matty Etherington go to Fulham??? I'd love to get him back to Spurs, Hoddle never gave him a proper chance and when he did play he scored the odd goal and looked decent. He's a far better player now than he was at spurs!

If we are to purchase a new eft winger which will distrub our midfield yet again, then I really want that player to be younger and better than Luis Boa Morte.

how many left wingers in the prem are better than luis Boa Morte; i dont think Young and Etherington are as good as him and also we need to get some exprience players now.
I feel Boa Morte has the right attitude and attribute that will fit our team IMO

Fulham's playe retention problems make you wonder what Chris Coleman could achieve with a big budget .

He works wonders season after season , much like Curbishley did at Charlton and they play attractive football when they can .

Their Marius Volz really really impressed me this season . Cracking player .

According to the BBC he's just signed

Pretty good deal, Advantage West Ham.

Now Fulham have only got 2 players with premiership quality (Quedrue & Bullard)

    Al-Fayed
    :stupid:

No way, the reason we sold him was that he had no pace and no ability to beat anyone which he still doesnt have. He is still an average player hence the reason he plays for west ham who are fighting against relegation. I think the best option is Gamst Pedersen, he is easily worth six million, but not sure what we bid last time to try and get him

LBM...Good strong solid, pacey player, but ain't all that.
MEth...improved but not to International standard, which is what we should be looking at.
    SDown....Boringly over rated.

Only one LM in the Premiership that I think is/has been absolute class and could better our whole team and that has to be GMP

    Gamst Morten Pederson.

    Go get him Daniel!

over the past few years, Fulhams best players were Steed and Boa Morte. I was unsure about the signing of Steed at first but he's been very good in the past few weeks and has definitely won me over.

Perhaps we may have missed out on a good player for the LW in Boa Morte?

Surprised at that... I would've had him at Spurs for that.... Fulhams best player and skipper and they get Matty Etherington in return (+5m) unlukcy fulham...

Going down with the West Ham, down with the West Ham

You were doing so well until u mentioned gamsdt :(

Matty joins another big club then...lol.
Didnt he say when he left that West Ham was bigger than spurs?
  13. markspurs
In my opinion they are wqelcome to him. He is not good enough for our standards

I would never have Matt Etherington back anyway, not after he swore at his own fans back at the lane
