I saw that Hans Segers was released as Goalkeeping coach today after 9 years. I wonder who will be next and whether the whole back room staff will be restructured. I can't say I'm particularly surprised, as Robbo still hasn't improved on his weaknesses from 2 years ago when he was confident. Now he has lost the confidence the deficiancies in his game have become obvious, so maybe a new top goalkeeping coach can make a difference with Robbo.

This must have been on the cards for a while now with Robinsons lack of confidence.

Either that or ENIC want to post good profits again and have slashed the coaching budget... first team coach, assistant and goalkeeping coach hmmmm. We already have a youth team equivalent, lets get rid of them and save some money.

I often wondered how an average goalkeeper was qualified to provide guidance to a top international keeper.

Robinson cannot jump and get's beat in the air despite having the advantage of using his arms.

That can't be taught I am afraid.

Of the three sackings, I have some sympathy for Segers. According to the ITK during the transfer window, Segers felt that none of the keepers (Robinson, Cerny and Alnwick) were good enough. It was why we were sniffing around Craig Gordon. Can't see it's Segers fault that Robbo prefers eating pies to training.
