Absolutely idolised him growing up. Top player that didn't get the plaudits that he deserved.
Happy Birthday Darren!

Will just leave these here...

Top class player, such a shame had injury issues (which could well have been down to medical staff in our employment at time).

In his prime would easily get into our team now (and a lot of other teams).

Feel genuinely sorry for you that you had to idolise over Darren Anderton when my idol was Glenn Hoddle

Those of us that grew up watching Glenn would understand

Top class player and my favourite when I first started following Spurs. Love his hanging crosses that always find its way to a Spurs head, that corner routine with Sheringham, and his effortless long range shots that goes crashing in.

Without his injuries, he would have achieved much more than he had with us. Loved the fact that he turn United down too.

Happy Birthday!

I liked him, but can't say I idolised him. My childhood Spurs idols were Gazza, Lineker, Barmby, Sheringham, and Gudni Bergsson.

Happy birthday Dazza. Try not to get third degree burns from the candles.

I loved the guy. I remember watching him in that semi final and was like I want us to sign him. And then we did.

He was an absolute quality player. Just listen to Sheringham talk about how good the balls he put in for him were.

I'd put him ahead of any of our front 3 behind Kane.
Insanely talented player and totally spurs.

Childhood idols....ffs you don't know how lucky you were not to be brought up on some of the dross that has been brought by this club...

Really? I'd say I started supporting Spurs just as we entered the days of darkness (90s through to mid 00s). I even had a Dean Austin poster on my wall at one point, which is tragic on just about every level.
