One little hard French bastard was Manuel Amoros. I was in Paris in '84 with my gf at the time. Just happened to be at the same time as the Euros. Got tickets to see France Denmark in the group game, they also met in the final. Platini, Tigana, Giresse etc. Great team, but their little right back, Manuel Amoros, owned the show.

Cut off everything defensively, and had attacking pace and ball skills, which were causing Denmark all kinds of problems in defence. Fella was getting hacked, pulled backed etc., all game, and it was clear he was really about to lose his shit...which he did! Roll the video...

Wow! I think he got a bit miffed. I would have used mitigating circumstances and only given him a yellow. Not for the head butt but for throwing the ball away, lol

Dave Mackay (from a bit before my time) very closely followed by Steve Perryman. Both tough as old boots but both gentlemen at the same time.

As a swede I have to mention Stefan Schwarz even tho he played for that lot for a while. Once broke his leg with the Swedish national team and spent a few minutes trying to jog off the pain... Tore his acilles on another occasion and walked off by himself...
Sure he had a mean streak aswell but that man was HARD
