As Tottenham’s form flounders, Harry Kane’s future is increasingly becoming the club’s elephant in the room. Kane’s contract is up at the end of next season and, as things stands, it would be a surprise if he was rushing to agree a new deal.

The England captain has consistently made it clear that he is happy to stay at Spurs, provided the club is progressing and in a position to challenge for the major trophies he craves.

We play on the back foot to accommodate kane (and son), who cannot press.
If we want an aggressive tottenham back - football like early pochettino played, then great sacrifices would need to be made.

Kane is a genius and has what, 100 odd goals left in him at this level. And we can all celebrate as the scoring records fall. But the price we must pay is playing mostly counter attack football for the next 4 years.

It is a tricky one, but kane is a once in a generation player, is one of our own and I think we owe it to him to accommodate him as long as he is productive.
If he wants out, then good luck to him. But I dont see why we should let the current england capt go for cheap.

We should bleed United dry (assuming that's his landing spot), but you just know Levy will waste the money on 4 or 5 players in the 15-20 mil range instead of buying 2 or 3 players in the 40-50 mil range. it will be just like the summer of 2013 when Levy bought all that dross (apart from Eriksen) with the Bale money.

Need a miracle for him to stay. Will be horrible to see him in a Utd or any other Prem shirt. Bottom line though at the moment you can't blame him for leaving because the club as it stands isn't progressing.

The only guaranteed trophies would be with Man City. Any other Prem team is a gamble for Kane. Do Man City need him now though?

Still not sure why he would go to United. Trophies not guaranteed. City they are, but do not want him now (if they ever really did). He should go abroad IMO. To be honest, I'm OK with him going. I think we need a refresh, not just at the back/midfield, but up front as well. If we had to sell one - as much as I/we love him, I'd rather sell Son, but I'd be OK with Kane as well. You see it with teams quite a lot, they sell their 'star' man, and actually improve. There in lies the problem, do we trust our lot to get the right man in!

We need to resolve the situations with Kane and Conte because the uncertainty and negativity is dragging us down. If they are not fully committed they need to go. I am sick of hearing about Kane not winning trophies and how that is down to Spurs. The truth is that Kane has failed to turn up in the really important games for both Spurs and England. Personally I find the football Conte plays boring and depressing. I just want to enjoy watching Spurs again.

Do you mean the cup finals where the manager chose to start him even though he wasn't match-fit?

I think man city would take him if we are giving him away. For their bench.
But how could he remain england capt?
Hey it might work our for him, but more like his ankles would go if he further exerted himself.

I was desperate to keep Kane as I was sure we were on the edge of greatness and he would push us over the line. The last 4 seasons have just convinced me we are miles away. With Kane we suck, without Kane we will suck a lot more but we have to rebuild now. The only way I see us keeping him now is if we get taken over and spend 300/400m in a transfer window.
