his next loan move should be top end Championship

I'd of course like to see him tested at PL level but I think sometimes its better for confidence and development of the youngsters to be playing in a team that wins more than it loses, especially as a striker he's more likely to get chances and goals in a team pushing for promotion rather than a team fighting relegation.

If he continues to impress at that level then he would be wanted at PL level or even push for a place with us, its in his own hands as he already has the platform to showcase his talent so its up to him to produce and progress
The confidence thing is a key point.

The Hurrikane has been outstanding as a young player, and when he was pitched in for the wafer games I expected to see him tearing it up. But he was clearly a bit overawed, and looked nothing like the player that demolished Man U's youth side with such cool maturity. The boy has skill, strength, and sense, but in those games he looked a bit of a donkey to be honest - and I attribute that to the mental aspect of his youth and inexperience. I think this loan move was an excellent choice to build that confidence up again. He needs bringing through slowly and steadily, so that we don't break him.

I think the same thing happened at Orient, and at Millwall. He just needs a bit of time to acclimatise, I think he is a very intelligent player but you need to become congruent with your team mates to make use of that intelligence.

If he had scored that Penalty against hearts he might have gained more belief sooner, but the more I saw of him the better he looked, and it seems to be the same case at Millwall

Kane looks to me to be a traditional centre forward. I think he's more of a Sheringham type, where he can read the game well and use his positional awareness to be where he needs to be when the chance comes. I don't think he's particularly pacey, so if we keep developing him well he'll be at his best when he's 26 - 30, rather than the speedy young'uns who get burnt out by 26 like Michael Owen.

Just hope the club can be patient enough with him to realise that potential

The beauty of our new loan policy is that players get time to play and develop and show us what they can do.

Worth bearing in mind as well that he started out playing midfield and played off the left wing a few times as well. Very impressive goal return.

9th goal for him today at Millwall (7 in Championship 2 in cup) and 10th for the season (includes one in Europa League for Spurs).

7 goals in his last 14 games for Millwall is his best stat (and I bet a lot of older players would like stas like that - let alone an 18 year old). Even 10 goals in 33 appearances for Spurs and Millwall is not that shabby.

That's a good great half season's loan. Well done to him !

Wonder if he can come off the nench in one of Spurs last 3 games (Championship finishes this weekend)

Good to see Harry producing the goods, bodes well for the future.

What we do next with him could be critical. Do we send him out for full season at Millwall? Do we try to get him in a better team in the championship, with the worry that he might get the games he got at Millwall. Similarly if we thought he was ready for some Prem football he's unlikely to play often (and personally I think he isn't quite ready for the Prem)

If we are in the Europa League then do we keep him, play him as a first choice player for the cups, alongside a more experienced striker, and continue his development at the club?

As I said above I think he is the kind of player who needs a little time to acclimatise in new surroundings - he has the talent but unlike a speed wizard or man mountain he wont burst onto the scene, but he will ultimately be better in the long run

All good points.

Personally I think we will see how he does on the US tour and pre-season before making a judgement.

IMO if Spurs play Europa League we will keep him at Spurs until Christmas and then decide whether he goes on loan to a Championship club or stays at Spurs.

I really think he's done well there since January. 8 or 9 league goals, and a couple in the FA Cup is a pretty good return for half a season as an 18 year old. I still think he should have at least one more season at Championship level though, maybe at a slightly more ambitious club. Get his expoerience, confidence and strength up, then if he's impressed we can start thinking about giving him the odd sub appearance in the PL.

Think we should try what we did with Walker, loan him out to a top championship team, if he excels again then see if we can get him another loan to a premier league team second half of the season. Hopefully he should be pushing into the first team within 2/3 years.

The issue with this, is that no team is going to give him a starting spot at their club when they sign him on loan from a championship team, I much rather him go to a team in the premiership as the second striker who comes off the bench and get his minutes like that for a season and then bring him back this season

He has had a much more successful time at millwall then Leyton so I expect him to go to loan in a prem club as I think the club would really want him to progress sooner rather than later

The title in the link says it all - good for him to get an acolade, shows that he has blended well with the rest of the team in just a short period of time.

Good on him.

Two big fingers up to all the 'Champ man' managers on here who said he'd never make it at any club (and there were a fair few on here).

Some people need to realise the most important factor in establishing a sucessful career in football. TIME.

Sir Les didn't start playing proper footy until he was well into his twenties.
