This from RedCafe
Kane has 4 hat tricks in 2017 alone. Tevez, Torres, le Tissier, Defoe, Sheringham, Ferdinand, etc ... all of them had 4 each in their entire PL careers.
Is the 4 PL hat tricks for Kane? Because he also got one in the FA Cup at Fulham.

He had TWO injury spells this season also. Bare that in mind. Incredible.

The games he missed were against Middlesbrough, Man City, West Brom, Bournemouth, Leicester, Southampton, Burnley and Swansea. You'd have to have fancied him to have scored at least three goals in those games, which would have set a new record for most goals in a 38 game season. Five more and he'd have equaled Andy Cole's record which was set in a 42 game season.

Either way, Kane's had an outstanding season, his best for us in terms of goals, and he's not even hit his peak yet.

Mentioned it in the match day thread but that moves rapidly...

Harry scored a left footed Hat trick today... all different types of finish too, a strike from outside the box, a neat first time finish of a cross and a little placed shot past the keeper, well played sir. (some top strikers would be lucky if they score three in a season with their weaker foot ;) )

And thanks for winning me a couple of hundred on top scorer for the second time in a row :D

Per 90 minutes =! Per game.

Goals÷(number of minutes played)/(90)= goals per 90 minutes

Goals÷games played= goals per game.

The former is a good way of comparing players who have played a disparate number of games due to injury for either of them. You can't directly compare Lukaku to Kane with games played because Lukaku had played more.

Over one goal per 90 minutes and 0.97 per game.

Oh Ok, just looked odd the way you put it, didn't realize you were using different measurements.

I'm just thinking 90 minutes is a game, and he's scored over one per 90 but less than one per game. :wacky:

Makes sense to do it this way though, else a player would be penalised very heavily for not scoring if they were subbed off injured after 20 minutes or whatever.

Some of the comments at the start of this thread were quite uncharitable. Still a tremendous achievement. Home grown boy and probably one of the best strikers in the world today. What's not to like about Harry Kane?

Last goal looked like he could have easily taken on his right I think, but he said, nah fuck it, let's have a left footed hat trick today. He scores when and how he wants.

Consistent, Clinical, something else beginning with C. A great season for Harry, surpassed expectations again despite the fact that as teams get to analyse his play he will be tighter marked each time.

There isnt much that hasn't been said. Well done Harry. #Oneofourown #COYS
