The finishing could be better, but the buildup that he showed beforehand was promising.

The move and pass to Snodgrass was impressive as well. We didn't get to see him much on the ball with space when he played in preseason, but he looks to have a nice array of moves to get himself into position.

Great turn of pace to beat the defender there. been mildly impressed, hope he gets a fair few games at norwich, should see him develop quite a bit.

Even if he just comes on as a regular sub that'd be huge for his progression. I expect him to get a handful of starts as well, though.

Some great touches and great work at the end to create the snodgrass chance but that finish should have been better but he was stretching and never composed himself right

And some people think he wont even make it in the 2nd division.

Tools. The lot of them.

Shame he didnt finish that chance, I thought that was a pretty good 20 mins though from him.

H. Kane looked like the pick of the strikers there today. Promising start, he should get comfortable with the speed/physicality of the prem and start scoring goals. Not bad for a nineteen year old. Only concern is his stamina, the lad always looks winded.

Very impressive. Almost everything he did when he was on the pitch was good and positive (except for the crap finish!) :D

I liked the way he took the ball away from his marker with his first touch, he showed a nice change of pace ability with both feet and a great awareness of space. At the age of 19 he ought to be very encouraged by that cameo, but he'll probably be dwelling on the miss all week...

Has made a really good impact. Only let down was his finish really.

Yup. It was on his left foot, and he had the confidence to try striking it first time and made a weak contact.

However, the rest of his game was decent, and if he gets regular playing time for Norwich, adapting to the pace of the EPL, that's good for us.

Where he is now reminds me of that period of time when Teddy first joined us from Forest and struggled scoring goals, once this Lad gets a few goals I think he will settle down and be a bit more composed in front of goal.A few people have slated this lad I think he will prove them wrong in the long term.

I know he's got some experience playing from midfield, but he does have that look about him like he could potentially play there. Seems to have good vision, and if he likes to operate, and is effective, with a little bit of space that might be a good spot for him down the road.

But, for right now with this performance, he looked very good for his debut for a new squad. I hope he continues to build himself up and eventually earn the right to start for Norwich.

"Some" experience, he started out as a midfielder if I recall right, he only became a striker after people realized he could score. IMO his position is actually off the front man, or a second striker. Many spurs fans are essentially basing their opinions of him playing in a position he is not entirely used to. Although did play that role at Leyton Orient.

He always been a attacking midfielder or second striker iirc and played as a CM quiet a bit but I think he will end a no.9 in the same mould as Van persie did as well as Rooney both of whom were in their mid twenties when they played the lone man role

Thought he looked good. Looked very confident and has a bit more pace than I recollect. Great move for him and I honestly think he will progress into a good player. Whether we give him a chance is an unknown, but I hope so.

I have been on of those who really thinks Harry Kane can make it. To rule him out at his age is madness and I hope he comes through to be a Pl player. He looked decent on the MOTD highlights as much as that tells you! I think a full season will do him wonders and to come back to us as a 20 year old with a season of prem football under his belt will be impressive.

Only seen the highlights but the turn of pace he showed, both for the fluffed chance and the cross for Snodgrass near the end is very exciting to see. I think he has a very good footballing brain - takes a couple of games to really get going, maybe he needs to get sharp to be at his best, but if he has pace that can help him get past people he will impress people a lot quicker.

If he can get regular games for Norwich then its a sign of how good he is, because that's not a side that can afford to blood someone else's youngster in, they need results. If he keeps progressing he could become a really good player.
