Sounds like Kane was really making an impression at Norwich before the injury. Wish him a speedy and full recovery. Hope they take their time with it, foot injuries can be very dangerous.

Hopefully when he's fit again he can still get some matches, if he plays like he did on his debut then Norwich would be silly not to play him :)

Hughton is happy with the character he has shown during his injury and says he has had 1 week of training of which was mostly at spurs and this week, he will need another week of training and should be available at christmas

Hopefully he can rebound and put together a nice 2nd half of the season. I really like Kane and I think he could be one for the future for us. Probably going to be another year on loan in my estimation. Basically a year and half of primer on loan at a PL club. At that point he'd still only be 20 (close to turning 21) when he would return to us in Summer of 2014. Crazy.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton hopes on-loan Tottenham forward Harry Kane could return to action soon after impressing in rehabilitation with a broken metatarsal.

The England U-19 international had made just three appearances for the

Canaries when he hobbled out of a Capital One Cup tie against Doncaster in September with a foot injury.

Kane is now stepping up his rehabilitation after returning from treatment at White Hart Lane and could be available for the Boxing Day visit of Chelsea and a home clash with Manchester City.

Hughton said: "Harry has completed about five days training in total, four of them with Tottenham. He is at the stage now where he has to keep developing his fitness.

"We have to determine over this next week or so when he is available for games. I think he has done a lot of good rehab, which is good news for us.

"I feel for the lad because he came here with a real spring in his step.

"The good thing is he is young and the type of injury he had, he will make a full recovery from, possibly for Christmas, but it is too soon to assess yet. He needs a week's training."

Norwich will be desperate to bounce back from the 4-1 midweek Capital One Cup quarter-final defeat at home to Aston Villa and former boss Paul Lambert when Wigan head to Norfolk on Saturday.

Now targeting a fifth successive league win, Hughton added: "It wasn't difficult to pick them up because we are on a good run at the minute.

"We had managed to get ourselves into the quarter-finals of the cup competition and were probably just beaten on the day by a more clinical side.

"We have done well. I can't fault the endeavours of the lads, but it wasn't to be. We have to get back to basics and continue the league form."

Another confirmation he is on his way back from injury - hopefully he can start to get the games which willl give him the experience he (and Spurs) need.

Always a tricky oine to know when a youngster has adequate experience to be in te Spurs squad - Caulker had about 30 games at Swansea, maximum Kane can now get is about 20 games. Still only 19 so he could go out on a second season's loan if necessary, but if he gets about 20 Premiership games I fancy he will stay at Spurs next season.

He was great against west ham, so he should get quite a few games when fit. Norwich play 4-4-2 I think?

No wonder Norwich fans were pleased with him - he scored two, won a penalty for the third and played 65 minutes v West Ham before being replaced with Norwich u 21's 3-0 up. So a hand (or more) in all 3 goals.

Kane's just come on as a sub and City are down to 10 men now. Worth a watch to see if Kane can score and to see if City slip up again!

On for 2nd half, good to see him back.

Probably needs a couple of matches to get going as he had only a couple at the start of the season before getting injured.

That's fine. He's out there playing for someone else to make mistakes, learn his trade and get more experience. Hopefully he continues to get game time. He may have been better off in a Championship team in terms of game time, but experience wise it's great he's getting PL experience.
