Harry Kane is out his protective boot and has the all-clear to accelerate his rehabilitation from an ankle injury.

Daily Fail said:
England medics will stay in regular contact with their Spurs counterparts ahead of the period when Gareth Southgate's decides on his final squad for the UEFA Nations League finals in Portugal, which kicks off against Holland on June 6.

However provided Kane's left ankle heals in a similar way to his recovery from a virtually identical injury earlier in the season, the England captain is growing increasingly confident of being fit for international duty.
Fuck off, seriously. He really needs a summer off.

Seriously though, if he's fit there's no way he isn't going to captain England in the Nations League final four, it's a shot at an international trophy whatever people may think of the tournament and format (I think it's the best idea UEFA have had in decades). And if we get past Ajax I expect to see him at least on the bench for the final.

But I can't see him playing before then, protective boot off or not. Even Everton in two weeks is almost certainly too soon for him.

When Kane recovers from injury and fitness is up to levels then he should be available for selection. All this resting talk I'm not having it the very top players Messi Ronaldo play much more games.

If Messi or Ronaldo had persistent injury issues and looked like they were rushed back I'm sure people would be calling for them to be rested.

Also, they don't play much more games.

Since the 15/16 season, Kane has played a few games more than Messi and a few less than Ronaldo (mins played all comps):

Ronaldo: 14,939

Kane: ~14,700

Messi: ~14,300

www.whoscored.com

However, Kane's injury record is quite a bit worse (days injured):

Ronaldo: 113

Kane: 165 (and counting)

Messi: 142

www.transfermarkt.com

This means that Kane has played around 4 games more than Messi while being injured for 3 weeks longer, and less than 3 games than Ronaldo while being out for 7.5 weeks longer

While it may not seem that bad over the course of a few seasons, it still shows that Ronaldo and Messi are getting more rest than Kane is

There is also the matter of the less demanding opposition in both La Liga and Serie A. Each and every game in the PL is a battle, but the same cannot be said of the other two leagues.

Missed him badly yesterday as I knew we would. He plays I swear we win that yesterday.[/QUOT
I was thinking along similar lines, especially with 10 mins to go as I was pleading for us not to lose to them of all teams and the horror was sinking in as I witnessed this failed effort came to it's end. If there is one player I could have wished for to stave off those awful gloating Spammers who will milk this to the absolute ends of the earth. He would most probably have dragged us out of the shit with a last gasp equaliser at least to spare us from the incessant and desparate goading that we are in from them for the next year and a day. I bet they have even got bloody T shirts printed up in time for the last game at the London stadium that will be selling like there's no tomorrow.

Yeah, the Hammers are a pain and always have been, BUT we have great training facilities, a wonderful stadium and we will be in the CL next season. WH have none of these things.

The only thing they have that I envy is a player like Noble, who is a better player than some people think, but who is also a great captain, driving on his teammates with his encouragement, enthusiasm and energy.

The only people it winds up are Spurs fans who take the bait. Nobody else gives a flying toss.
