He'd instantly become Ireland's best player. Expect to see Kane named in the next England squad to ward off this 'interest'.

Put your money on Paddy Kan to play up front for Spurs and Ireland in the 2020s.

I'm sure I saw an interview saying he has no interest in Ireland and wants to get into the England squad

It'd be a foolish decision, given the poor standard of England strikers in the offing.

Yeah but it must be frustrating knowing that you will always get overlooked unless you play for Liverpool or Utd.

Hmm. Maybe I've been a bit disingenuous to Seamus Coleman here.

I couldn't agree more.
Sturridge is decent, Wellbeck is OK, and Rooney is coming up to 29, so not too much to worry about there.
I would expect Kane to replace Lambert in the squad in the very near future to get some sort of game time.
And then it's purely down to his development compared to Sturridge and Wellbeck, as well as the steepness of Rooney's eventual decline.

Exactly. I was saying last season that if he got a run of games for us is expect him in at least 1 England squad by the end of this season

I don't know, it's going to be tough for Kane to break into the England squad because he doesn't have the pace England managers all seem to fall in love with and he doesn't play for one of the Sky 4. On the other hand, playing for Ireland will get him nowhere. Decisions...decisions...It's not too late to become a Yank, Harry. You're already better than Altidore! You will love our chicken and apple pie but stay away from the cheese and blonde girls from Florida with more than 4 visible tattoos.

Yep.

The 21-year-old is eligible to play for Ireland through his Galway-born father, but is committed to the Three Lions, having played five times for the England Under-21 international team. "There's no decision there," Kane told reporters ahead of Spurs' clash with Liverpool. "I'm playing for England U21 and want to break into the senior squad."

Lambert shouldn't get picked due to him looking out of shape in the next squad. Sturridge will probably get pulled out cause of injury. Berehino looks like he may get a call, Could Kane next in line after that? Anyway I think he said before he'll only play for England.

I think he has turned down England squad inclusion hoping this might happen. It'd probably be easier to get games with England but hopefully he's ambitious enough to back himself in the green ;)

If Andros and Rose can get a game for England then Harry must be close, perhaps he needs to get his butler to polish his monocle and give his top hat a once over with a brush...

Rooney is 28?! F*** me, I remember when he burst on the scene as a 16 year old. Now I feel old…….!

Taking nothing away from Ireland, but I really hope he pushes into the first team for Spurs and dons the England shirt.
