I am absolutely amazed no one is mentioning how bad he actually is at tapping up players. It seems to be a daily event that he comes out to the press and reveals who he wants to come, which player wants to join him and which players he is after but is close to joining someone else

Just because he says it in a cheeky way no one picks up on it.' He has done it with several players over the last 12 months.

I think they have got his technique down to several stages:

1. Say Player X is a top player
2. Say Player X is a top player who anyone would be interested in.
3. Say Player X is a top player who anyone would be interested in, so naturally he is interested.
