Wasn't there meant to be a new contrct on the table for Harry recently? Every week he was going on about how he "would probably sign it this weekend". Was it a figment of his imagination, or just a really stupid decision not to sign it?

Sound familiar ?

"The training sessions aren't the same standard as Milan, or what I would expect under another manager," he said.

"They are not as intense, the players aren't as motivated. It is the same as we used to do at Tottenham years ago. When we played West Ham he told the players "you're not fit, you're not this, you're not that".

"I said 'but the problem is we don't have any plan in the game, we don't know how to press as a team’. It's not about just running around, you need to play with your brain.

"After West Ham he said all of the team is not fit. After Liverpool, because the performance was so good, he said everything was perfect. What, in one week, he changed the fitness? Impossible."

He might be carrying a couple of pounds excess, but his bullshitometre seems to be working

He's still in that prefab office with his feet up on the table and his head buried in the Racing Post.

Funnily enough, he did also have this to say:

‘He spends most of the time in his office but when he gets off the phone he comes down to watch for five or 10 minutes - he never takes a session,’ revealed Taarabt.

Surely not...

Taarabt does look a bit flabby in the news article I saw, certainly not in prime shape. And to admit being 85 kilos, that sounds way too much for someone of his build.

He was only a slip of a fella when he first came over.

At the very start yeah, after a season or two he definitely filled out and I don't see any difference in his weight since. Always thought he looked like he enjoyed an extra pie or two. Much like our old friend Andy Reid

Harry and Adel have both been spoken to by the chairman after their public dispute.... A bit embarrassing for Harry really.

He said that he'd "sign it without even looking at it".

Ex-Spurs pair Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt shamed by QPR chairman
Posted by Steven Deeks - October 21, 2014 - All News, Liverpool, QPR, Tottenham
Ex-Tottenham pair Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt have been publicly shamed by the Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes following their bitter savaging of each other.

The QPR boss delivered a withering assessment of the attacker’s condition by saying he was three stone overweight following the weekend defeat to Liverpool.

But after learning of Redknapp’s brutal comments, Taarabt, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Milan, struck back by mocking the former West Ham boss, who he claimed was trying to cause a divide between him and the fans.

“I just think that obviously at QPR the fans love me, I love QPR and I love the fans. They are my club. You can’t break the relationship with me and the fans. He wants to get the fans against me,” he said before mocking Redknapp’s preparations.

“The training sessions aren’t the same standard as Milan, or what I would expect under another manager. They are not as intense, the players aren’t as motivated,” he continued.

“When we played West Ham he told the players ‘you’re not fit, you’re not this, you’re not that’.

“I said ‘the problem is we don’t have any plan in the game, we don’t know how to press as a team. It’s not about just running around, you need to play with your brain’.”

Redknapp hit back by saying that Taarabt was the “worst professional I have ever come across” before twisting the knife by insisting the only reason the player lost weight was because he had tonsillitis.

With matters spilling out of control Fernandes has now attempted to put an end to the hostility.

“As a club, we are fully aware of stories in the press over the last few days regarding Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt,” he said in a statement.

“We regret these issues being played out in public and both Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt have been notified of our disappointment regarding their handling of the situation. I have spoken to them both personally.

“On behalf of the club, I would like to apologise to the QPR supporters for the embarrassment this has caused and confirm that the issue has been dealt with internally.”

When his team lost to West Ham he blames players for not being fit. It doesn't seem to occur to him that everyone knows it's his job to get them fit, and his decision to play them even though he knows they are not.

How long before someone in the media has the fucking wit or temerity to call him out on some of the bullshit he trots out ?
