Spurs boss not interested in Sporting ace.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has rejected talk the club could land Sporting Lisbon ace Yannick Djalo this summer.

The 24-year-old was reportedly on Spurs' radar and the player's agent Lionel da Silva did little to dampen the speculation.

Lionel da Silva claimed White Hart Lane was the Guinea-Bissau Portuguese striker's most likely destination.

    No plans

However, while conceding that Djalo was a good player, Redknapp insists the Sporting ace is not in his plans.

"It's not true," confirmed Redknapp regarding the club's possible move for Djalo.

"I believe he's a good player, but he is not and never has been in our plans."

People complain he talks to much but I'm very glad he's come out and set the record straight on this one....

Now all he needs to do is come out and say he'll sell Jenas..

Wow, least surprising news of the Summer!

I'm curious to know who is in Harry's plans.

In my opinion, Bellamy, Richards and Pletikosa aren't Champions League calibre signings. They're simply players who maintain the status quo, but do not elevate our level of play. I hope they aren't the players Harry is targeting, but I've heard little else in terms of rumours.

There are plenty of rumours out there, but very little fact, at this stage. It's best to hold on tight until 1st September, and then judge. At this stage it's all potentially all smoke and mirrors to guard our actual targets.

It looks like a lot will depend on our advancement to the CL group stage.

I'm glad Djalo is a no go. Doesn't sound like what we need at all. Of course Harry saying we don't want him probably means he'll be pictured with the shirt at Spurs Lodge tomorrow! I hope not though....

I suspect we will see no major signings/departures until after the Qualifier. Whether or not we are in the Champions League will define our transfer policy - both in terms of how much money we are able to spend as well as the quality, quantity and type of player we look to spend it on.

    This makes most sense
