I was thinking about who harry would select for England IF he gets the job. I wonder if he would pick players he was familiar with as he seems to do with our transfer targets?, would he pick more spurs players?. Anyway here's my tongue in cheek guess at a harry redknapp England squad:

1) Joe Hart (obviously)
2) David James (worked with at pompey)
3) Rob Green (got to include a hammer)
4) Kyle Walker (spurs)
5) Glen Johnson (worked with at pompey)
6) Ashley Cole (obviously)
7) Phil Neville (tried to buy)
8) Rio Ferdinand (worked with at Westham)
9) Ledley King (spurs)
10) Michael Dawson (spurs)
11) Phil Jones (obviously)
12) Aaron Lennon (spurs)
13) David Beckham (trained with spurs)
14) Scot Parker (spurs)
15) Frank Lampard (family/westham)
16) Joe Cole (westham)
17) Tom Huddlestone (spurs)
18) Ashley Young (think he was a transfer Target)
19) Danny Rose (spurs)
20) Jamie Redknapp (family)
21) Jermain Defoe (spurs)
22) Peter Crouch (spurs & pompey)
23) Andy Carrol (transfer target)
24) Wayne Rooney (obviously)
25) Sandra Redknapp (preferred over Darren Bent)

Have I forgot anyone?

Genuinely would not be surprised if Redknapp lined up something like this. We've seen at Spurs and Portsmouth how much he favours experienced leaders on the pitch, and I don't think he'll resist the opportunity to field a team of former 'world class' players from the 'Golden Generation'.

It's be interesting to see how many Spurs players he takes. I think he'll take Ledley, Walker, Daws, Lennon, Parker, Defoe and maybe even Cudicini! I also think he won't take Terry, because let's face it, England don't really need him.

Here's my prediction

1. Hart
2. Foster
3. Cudicini or Green
4. Walker
5. G Johnson
6. Ledley
7. Rio
8. Daws
9. Cahill
10. A Cole
11. Baines
12. Lennon
13. Milner
14. Parker
15. Gerrard
16. Lampard
17. Barry
18. Ashley Young
19. A Johnson
20. Rooney
21. Defoe
22. Crouch or Carroll
23. Welbeck or Bent

I think Oxlade-Chamerbalin could be a surprise call up.

We were supposedly interested in Phil Jones before Man Utd got him, too...

If England were to line up like for like as us it would probably look something a bit like.

Hart
Friedel
Walker----Terry----Ferdinand----Cole
Walker----Dawson----King----Ekotto
Parker----Lampard
Parker----Modric
Lennon----Gerrard----Young
Lennon----VDV----Bale
Crouch
Adebayor

Rooney replaces Crouch when he returns.

Actually the transition from Spurs to England would work well imo.

No chance. He would 100% pick Parker for a start.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Lennon ahead of Walcott either, and Young ahead of Cole.
