Harry's positivity: indicative of a winning mentality or a blindness to poor form?

I've been thinking recently how Harry always seems to come out with mauled statistics like this:

'We have had one defeat in our last eight league games and we are playing well.'

Yes Harry, but this is despite failing to beat any of the bottom 4 in consecutive games, and that defeat was a 3-1 embarrassment at the hands of Blackpool. I'd also add that if our aim is indeed top 4, then by that standard, no we haven't been playing well. We've been poor.

Does this concern anyone, or is it just me? I genuinely think that in order to challenge the top 4 in the final games of the season our players need a massive kick up the arse. Now, Harry could be doing this in private, but nothing he says in public indicates that he is. Wenger said the other day that Arsenal had been playing poorly and needed to improve after a couple of home 0-0s. Why aren't we getting a similar reaction?

As a caveat, I'd like to say that I like Harry, I don't want him out. I just think he's dangerously misinterpreting recent games.

I honestly don't care what he says in public, I trust that behind the scenes every member of our squad knows that we've not been good enough lately. At the moment this is really just a blip in form and that's backed up by our league position.

But when does a blip become general poor form? I'd like to believe that behind the scenes this is being dealt with, but to come out on the official site and say we've been playing well is an insult to the fans intelligence.
