We should get Benitez, why? He wins trophies. I'm sick of us winning **** all. Benitez is a clever manager tactically and wins one off cup games with superior tactics, superb at Valencia and 2 cl finals and an fa cup at pool. Inter lets write that off.

I believe he would win us a trophy in his first season if given another chance . He would also be easy to appoint and has great English.

His signings were pretty poor at times but he still got reina,Torres ,agger, alonso and wanted the likes of villa and alves before they were hot property. He won a cl with a nothing squad.

In my opinion he is what we need he knows the English game and will have learnt in his time off. Thoughts?

Undecided. He definitely is a potential candidate but I always disliked him in interviews. He has pedigree though and would certainly sort the defence out. Who are other realistic candidates who have his pedigree?

He has more pedigree than Harry has. he is more successful than Harry. I do not want red knapp gone this is only if he walks.

And just as a question, why should we write off the Inter stuff?

And he also wanted to sign Gareth Barry as an alternative to Alonso.

There are far too many negatives about him for me.

I am not surprised the thread is entitled 'Hear me out' I just saw 'We should get Benitez' then immediately started to type my reply.
He wanted to replace Alonso with Gareth Barry, he did good tactics in the CL but ultimately they should have been thrashed in the final with Milan, should have lost the FA cup final against west ham, spent 17 million on Aquillani and 17.5 million on Johnson.

NO.

I think at inter like all of mourinhos replacements at Chelsea he had to live off the fact that mourinho was "special"very hard task!

And his football I agree can be abit hit and miss but like Harry has he could keep the style just fine tune it.

Tactically I think he is probably a lot more clued in than Harry, although not beyond suspicion himself. It is in the transfer market where I would worry with Benitez. If we had him in charge I think I would be wanting to re-introdice a DoF as well to take charge of the transfer activity.

Still, can't see it happening as I think there are/will be much better options available come the summer.

He is a good manager but we are not the right club for him.

Andres Villas Boas we should go for, young, surely fired up to prove himself that Chelsea John Terry made a mistake and he has a cool name.

No. Benitez is a waiter and should stick to waiting tables. He's also an arrogant unlikeable wanker. He also doesn't know how to sport a goatee. He buys 4 shit****s for every decent player and if people don't like Harry's interviews, wait until they see fat waiter man bring out a list of reasons Wenger gets preferential treatment from the PL.

Horrible horrible man/goatee.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of a younger manager who hasn't managed a club of our size before.

King is likely to be finished and Gallas has only one more year left on his contract and I doubt we'll renew. Corluka is also going to leave permanently if we get the right offer.

It's time to build a young team with a few older guys as the spine. We need somebody with the confidence to play our younger players despite the urgency of our fans to win every game. Benitez is not the right guy for this job in my opinion.
