First transfer thread and it's an interesting one :)

This one is very possible. We know Poch wanted him before he got injured (there was ITK) and clearly, Moreno loves MoPo.

Translation from the guy who used to be Spurspanyol, but has changed it back to his real name I think. He lives in Spain and translates new stories from Spanish into English. He's not ITK.

Hector Moreno will return to action tomorrow. He said of speculation linking him to Spurs, “Maurico believes in me."

“They talk about Espanyol (wanting me) but it was Pochettino that worked hard to get me here."

Moreno also said, “It would be beneficiary to both myself and the club if I can fully recover and be on the market in January."

It’s interesting to note that it is Espanyol's chairman who wants Moreno to leave.

Moreno also states that, on a personal level, he wants to play in Europe - something which hasn’t been possible with Espanyol.

I am totally sceptical about the Spanish/ Italian market now after seeing player after player just not suited to the league:

Alberto, Aspas, Fazio (until now), Falque, Borini, Lamela (to an extent), Gio (!!!) or Granero for example. It is a huge gamble and I would rather look elsewhere but at least Poch knows him and we would all know where this signing would come from. He was good at the World CUp.

Now this guy could be a future replacement for Jan as he's left-footed.

Zabaleta, Silva, Sanchez, Diego Costa, Michu, Azpi. There's no hard and fast rule for what league will produce successful imports and which won't. Two years ago the Dutch league was cast as dodgy but now it would probably be heralded as good because of Bony, Suarez, Tadic.

Looked class in the world cup. Only 26 and bags of experience (almost 60 caps for Mexico). Hopefully makes a full recovery.

This is a ridiculous position to hold be honest. Judge individual players on their own merit.

Who else do we sign to play alongside our captain before the real weakness is tackled?
Does Kaboul have the ball long enough to get tackled???;)

I like the sound of Moreno, just have reservations about players who have had such big injuries in terms of their game afterwards - I'm kind of the same about Jay Rodriguez. Only time and a few million quid will tell...

Seems a deal that's more likely than not, I just hope we dont expect him to come in straight away and improve the team this season.

only when he goes on one of those runs down the right wing, before planting the ball into the crowd. I suspect he's still recalling his run that led to Crouch's goal at the Etihad which sent us all wild. Now we're going wild at him for other reasons. I said in the window if he or Dawson got significant game time this season we'd be nowhere near top 4... unfortunately we only did half the job.

Not sure about this, think its more about the individuals rather than the market.

Or perhaps we should look to those struggling over there like Bergkamp and Henry were!!
