I don’t thInk he’s been fit since his injury in Feb/March. He’s clearly not at 100% and I fear for his season with us. If I was Poch I’d give him a 2 week holiday and then a full pre-season and let him miss the first 2 or 3 games. Luckily Son can ..... oh shit!

Imagine how many he'd have scored if he wasn't being hampered by bizzare tactics, playing as an attacking midfielder, and forced to feed lesser players instead of being his usual selfish self and taking more shots.

Agree, and Southgate needs to work out another way but in some respects it was refreshing not to see our team just pander to the best player as we have in the past. Having said that, if we’re relying on him feeding the wide forwards then you only have to compare Mbappé and Griezmann to Lingard and Sterling to see where that idea will come up short.

No, instead we pandered to one of the worst.

Imagine if Sterling actually passed him the ball ! Apart from the nice little lay-off to Harry in the 3rd place play-of game, Sterling (who i think is a cracking player who just had a crap World Cup) Sterling would shoot shoot shoot even when Harry was wide open.

If that's the only issue you spotted you're just as bad :ROFLMAO:

I'm really looking forward to my first visit to New Wembley in August. It will be good to compare it to the old Stadium, a ground I had the pleasure of visiting many times and taking a tour. Hopefully Harry can put his August blues behind him and put on a good show. Much love to my fellow Spurs fans here ❤

Huh? Hang on, now I've thought about it, I'm guessing this means you haven't been to "new" Wembley even though it's over 10 years old now. Thought you were getting your Wembley and WHL mixed up. Ignore me.

Also - based on every post since the title - I'd guessing it was intentionally badly written making the first reply defunct. (y)

It’s a factual award there’s no opinion involved. He scored the most goals and won the golden boot. Deserved or not deserved doesn’t even enter the argument. It’s like saying a cricketer didn’t deserve a century cause he had a few lucky shots, it’s irrelevant he still got 100 runs however he got them.

Couldn't have put that better myself.
If a keeper conceded the least amount of goals but didn't have a save to make, does that mean he didn't deserve the golden glove?

Some people will never rate him unless he scores a hattrick in a world cup final or a champions league final - thats just the way it is.

I’ve had loads of debates the last week and everyone who I’ve spoken to has said three pens and a ghost backheel really don’t make him a worthy golden boot winner.
Taking my blue tinted glasses off I hate to say it but I do agree, even with the pressure he was under with all of them.
Great for HK but he looked knackered from Colombia onwards, still think if he’d have had a spurs shirt on he’d have had a couple more.

The fact remains....He got the goals...........the others did not.

Haters are gonna hate, end of.

Harry wins the golden boot. Hugo wins the competition. Not bad for a couple of supposed legends!

While it's easy for people to say that 3 of his goals were penalties, it's also worth remembering that all 3 penalties were won by him.

It's very easy to get wound up or angry with other fans opinions of Harry but here's the thing, when Harry retires potentially as the record PL goal scorer or England record goal scorer all these stupid opinions by people who clearly don't watch him or understand the game will be completely drowned out by the facts.

There is something whimsical about a certain pemiership rival's fans making the case that their striker is better than Harry Kane because he beat him to the golden boot last season only for Harry to go and win the FIFA World cup golden boot.

There’s so many salty bastards on instagram on all posts about him winning this saying he doesn’t deserve it. Normally it wouldn’t piss me off but I know for a fact if he played for their shitty clubs (Arsenal, Chelsea, etc. the usual suspects) they would not be posting the things they are. Hypocritical ****s.

Some even have the audacity to say he’s not world class... doesn’t getting golden boot in the WORLD CUP mean you’re WORLD CLASS by definition (not to mention multiple golden boots in arguably the worlds toughest league)? Fucking idiots. They got nothing to say when he’s banging them in in a more aesthetically pleasing way, the only time they can say something is when he’s banging them in luckily; you can’t make it up ?
Most of these clubs have been very supportive of him for England. I think we all know which club's fans has the biggest chip on their collective shoulders now don't we! They hate him in a Spurs shirt, that's fair enough, we're the same to them. But at least Arse and Chelsea fans can seperate that on the international stage.

Of course Harry deserves it. Do people think the Golden Boot should be awarded to a player who didn't score the most goals?

Personally I’d have given it to Giroud

If I’m not mistaken he didn’t score a single goal playing upfront for the team that became World Champions

Far mor impressive than Harrys efforts
