The greatest Spurs player ever and I go back to 1961. So many magical moments. Get well Glen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a hero

It’s situations like this that makes me think how useless I’d be in such an emergency. I last did first aid training about 7/8 years ago. If there’s one thing that’s bloody easy and quick to do it’s to learn first aid and what to do if someone has a heart attack for example. Booking up some training is going to be on my to do list for next week.

I did a first aid course 24years ago, but the 1 thing out of that course that will always stay with me is what to do if someone had what might be a heart attack. if someone hurt a limb I'd be bloody useless, if someone was having a heart attack I would attempt to help

Reading through twitter there were tweets from all cross sections of our football world.

Very gratifying and then I came across one message from a mug Chelsea fan- slagging him and using the c word - I won't give him the oxygen of publicity - but I am sure he is a young new Chelsea fan of the 21st century who doesn't even know of Glenn's involvements with Chelea. Sad world sometimes.

I did a course for work and it came in handy once outside of work when on the way home from a night out we cam across an overturned car I don't think I saved a life but keeping people calm until the proper services turned up helped. Three days of training is all it took and is well worth it.

My idol and one of the best 2 or 3 players I’ve ever seen in a Spurs shirt since 1974

Thoughts are with him and hoping he makes a full recovery

For me he isn't a Spurs legend. He is THE Spurs legend. Best Spurs and England player in my lifetime and he epitomises what Spurs really should be about.

I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Terrible news.

Wish him and his family the very best. He was a wonderful player and I think the best manager the England national team has had in my lifetime.

Get well soon, Glenn :(

It looks as if he's responding to treatment so it's a good sign. What is a pleasing thing is all the people in the game who have met him have said what a nice and genuine person he is. Like all on here Spurs run through our blood but if you had seen Glenn play it's understandable why he's held in such esteem.

Glenn the new stadium shouldn't open until you are fit enough to take your seat in it.

This guy is being modest but he straight up saved glen's life.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46013354

"Sound engineer Simon Daniels used CPR treatment to keep the former England manager alive after he collapsed at BT Sport's studios on Saturday.

Daniels, who is also a special constable, said his first-aid training "kicked in" leaving him no time to worry if Hoddle, 61, would survive.

"I'm not a hero, I was just doing what I was trained for," Daniels said.

"I was just trying to preserve life. It didn't really cross my mind that it was Glenn Hoddle."

Daniels also used a defibrillator before paramedics arrived at the studios in east London to take Hoddle to hospital."

My company has hundreds of defibrillators spread around our buildings. They don’t actually restart hearts - they stop them, forcing the brain to restart it. Such a good investment (£500 each) as they massively increase the survival odds for heart attack victims.
