Not totally sure of the wisedom of this. Ok, perhaps better for the international side, but I suspect Leicester would not have won the PL if there had been a winter break as the bigger clubs big-players would have been that little bit more refreshed. Also, the FA Cup replays adds a lot of revenuw to lower league clubs. So all in all not having a break is a leveller that adds more than it takes away.

Conventional wisdom would have suggested that the bigger teams with the bigger better squads would have been more capable of dealing without rest and therefore coping without a winter break better

What Leicester did was simply amazing - I don't think the lack of winter break helped them

Winter break my arse. All that means is clubs go to the Far East to make some extra bucks.

Go a step further and get rid of international football. Boring to watch and terrible for club sides
I wouldn't go that far but definitely it is in decline, the decision to have Russia and Qatar as world cup hosts is a farce, not to mention the corruption.

so you have a three week break where there could possibly be 6 games played you then have to fit these in the remaining fixtures why? because a few teams may or may not be involved in replays madness
my solution would be start the season 2 weeks earlier and finish two weeks later giving four xtra Saturdays also no cup replays at all 90 minutes then strauight to golden goal thereby making the players load easier as there would be fewer 2 games a week
