"The coach has not been satisfied, and that is what I take from it,” Hojbjerg, who is now on international duty with Denmark, said about his manager’s outburst. "You do what you can to please him.

“What I do know about myself is that I am an honest player. I am a player who always gives 100% of myself for the team. If that's how he sees it, then you have to be a little more precise in order for you as a player to take it to heart."

Seems a measured comment from the player, in response to the scattergun bile of his manager. If Conte is not talking detailed specifics to individual players then all they can do is put more effort into what they are doing. Watch Pep and how he clearly gives players detailed instructions, feedback and coaching. Does Conte coach and improve individual players? I don't think he sees that as his job. He wants always to be given all the perfect parts for his system, whatever that may be (?) and then he will do his stuff. Fringe players, young players, people who need developing are not in his wheelhouse.

Spursy as well outside the pitch. Bunch of cowards.
Thank you for proving Conte right with this statement.

I disagree with the notion that Hojbjerg's comments prove anything here, but what you have proven is that the fans will jump on anything that they perceive back up how they are feeling.

I agree that the spurs players need to look deeply at how they let their efforts slip time and time again when the manager hasn't bent over backwards to please them. I also agree that this has been true for many generations of spurs players and players from other clubs too. You think Chelsea, Arsenal and west ham haven't had generations of similar issues with players? West ham and chelsea players are doing it this season. Arsenal have been doing it for years up until last/this season.

The difference is (bar wet spam), when spurs do get it right they still don't win things. We came close but never made it. I don't know exactly why but if Levy had been investing more over the years I do think this would not have been the case.

I also believe Conte has failed to take responsibility for not using his squad, losing his influence over some of them, for playing crap football, for not being flexible in his tactics and for isolating potentially good players. His faults. He ignores these and wants out so his outbursts now are motivated by self preservation. He's not wrong, but he's only telling half the story.

I don't think his words prove Conte is right. IMHO, it's simply a player trying to understand the outburst. It must especially be weird when the manager refuses to address the players and then flips his lid. Much more respectful and honorable, IMO, to speak to the players frankly before running them all under the bus. Of all the players to be called selfish and uncommitted, I really don't think PEH is one of them.

You've completely missed the point of what he said, how he said it and the context of the entire interview....
Using a couple of translated quotes from the Daily Star to justify what I assume is already your opinion.
