Really disappointed it didn't work for him at Spurs, always liked his attitude and work rate. Good luck to him for his future career!

Really Disappointed this didn't work out. Much more than a busy little player and showed some really nice interplay at times. Thought he looked really good in preseason last year and should of stayed in the squad over any number of players that ended up offering nothing.

Good luck Lewis class personality and a decent little player ...

Guess they waited for the new tax year (ffp?) to finalise the deal (not us).

Why?
Prefer him to most of the magnificent seven.
Decent footballer, ran about quite a lot.
Thought he would have suited Mauricios hyper active approach.

Poch was very quick to make an assessment of Lewis it seems.

Why wasn't he so quick deciding on others - especially the poorer players?

sad to see him go, in the same way just as Gylfi Sigurdsson, offered a lot more that most that stayed and done nothing.
all the very best to him and his future.

Cos it was really obvious and we had plenty of replacements

Just goes to show how full of shit the football hipsters are. Budesliga this and that. Guy came from Schalke, 3rd best german club where he was playing, and couldn't get a game in Englands 5th/6th club.

The Gestapo running our feeder site whipped their membership into a frenzy over nasty dimwitted Tim putting Holtby on loan.
MP sells him as one of his first decisions and now this is confirmed, I have a sneaking suspicion that this is no longer such a big deal for our agenda driven friends.

I think the truth of it is - rightly or wrongly - it was thought some time ago that LH did not have enough quality for the prem, despite being likeable and enthusiastic.
We all move on.

I think you'll find that's called the 'Tottenham syndrome'...

Seriously though, players from the Bundesliga didn't do too bad at the last world cup!

We're an investment company. Buy players whose contracts are running out for a low fee and sell them for a profit. This is indisputable and the reason we buy players in positions that we simply don't need even when they aren't an improvement on what we already have. If we get success on the pitch as a by product of our investment strategy, then ENIC would no doubt be delighted, but let's not forget the sole objective of an Investment Trust, such as the former English National Investment Company.

To increase the value of the company by reinvesting the profits and actually investing some of lewis's own money to make the new stadium viable?

We buy players, who are young and have potential so if they don't work out we can sell and use the money to buy someone else. The majority of times we've stepped away from this model we have taken a major financial hit that we cannot afford in our position.

I wonder if his price counted against him, Paulinho 17 mill Capoue what 9-11 mill had to be given more of a chance to impress.

Another and equally plausible scenario could involve Holtby wishing to play guaranteed first team football to progress his career while the others were comfortable with the possibility they might spend significant time on the bench or out of the squad.

Possibly but he came across as the kind of guy who would fight and let's be honest he always gave 100 percent and ran his socks off, always fought for the shirt I liked the little guy.
