I've just seen this in the press. Being a football manager can certainly take a stressful toll and I wish him well. He's been having a tough time with the fans of late. Could perhaps be a change of management in the not too distant future at Villa Park:

Gerard Houllier was recovering in hospital today after being taken ill last night.

Said to be in a comfortable condition, he has already spoken this morning with Villa's chief executive Paul Faulkner. He could be kept in hospital for a few days and assistant boss Gary McAllister is likely to be in charge for Saturday's home Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke. McAllister will also take charge of training today at Bodymoor Heath.

Villa are making no official comment at this stage but are set to release a statement later today on his condition.

The 63-year-old had open heart surgery in October 2001, while manager of Liverpool after suffering chest pains during a match against Leeds.
