We asked the Soccer Saturday pundits what Tottenham need to make the next step ahead of Super Sunday's showdown with Bournemouth.

Just keep doing what we're doing? Improve every year. Add the odd player to improve us when available.

Thommo nailed it. Experience. We have to come back stronger now and really make sure the premier league know we mean business and then next season take on Europe's elite again. I don't want Sevilla or Basel, I want the big guns again

If we could win the FA Cup we would be over the first hurdle. That and a top 4 finish would be a fabulous season and another improvement to add to our year on year progress. We could do with an old war horse in there somewhere as well.

Being edged out by that juventus team over two legs could happen to any of the "big" established sides.

Lol. Charlie Nicholas. Alderweireld can leave this summer with that clause. Kane, Poch, PSG, FA cup,£200 million, earring, bollocks, blah, feckin blah.

Le-Tissier aside. They couldn't have picked a more unintelligent bunch of pundits if they tried.

Thanks Sky Sports. I've learnt...erm, well...erm. Yep, feck all. Most informative, glad I pay for my subscription each month.

They need to revamp that show badly. Get rid of those 4 dinosaurs and get some new blood in. The BT afternoon show has left them behind.

To answer the question, work!
Work harder. Improve.
Reflect and learn - (it really wasn't the ref MP).
Give chances to the youth - they'll bring something different.
Evolve and when we do start winning, keep improving!

I'm no pessimist but at the start of the season, what with moving to play our home games at Wembley, I'd have accepted 5th or 6th this year.
Then, when the ECL draw was made, I thought we'd likely end up 3rd and drop into the Europa, like last year.
So, to me, we're probably over achieving at the moment (no :chicken:s counted, obviously ;)).
If we can finish top 4 and get a step or two further in the FA cup, I think we'll have had a great season.
Then, next year, with 62,000 capacity stadium, is when it all starts to change, and we can compete on a more level playing field - buying & paying players that have been out of our range before.
So, by carrying on doing what we're doing, I think it's inevitable that we'll move to the next step.

what Tottenham need to make the next step

Poch needs to walk before he runs.

Domestic cups are crucial to our development as a trophy/honours winning club.

It's great he's uber ambitious, but I do think there is a little ego there that clouds his evaluation/expectations irt this.

Crucially, though, if we do not become more clinical we should not expect to reach the next level.

It. Is. As. Simple. As. That.

That is our main challenge.

That's our 'fine-margin' battle.

If we can keep our current squad, We will get better, I think Sissoko has cost us a lot of points playing on the right as he offers very little going forward, if Lucas had been fit start of the season I think it’s safe to say we would have more points,

Full backs last season they were the envy of the league this year Trips and Davis are decent but Rose has been injured and not played / form not been great if he stays next year i hope he rediscovers his form, aurier not a fan, he will get better but i dont think he has it in him to be good enough. would love to see us sign Sess, and either use KWP who i think could be a super star for us.

Also think SA and Sanchez on the same side makes us weaker, maybe if Toby had been fit we woudl have seen more of KWP or better from SA. I think Sanchez is a good player lots of potential just wonder if we still had walker if he would have had an even better season.
