How is 2m a year for a 600m asset a good return?

This whole OS debacle has been nothing but lies and misinformation.

How can Boris say that 2m a year rental income on an asset that cost 600m to build and 100m to convert is good value to the taxpayer?

It would West Ham 300 years to pay the original cost of the stadium.

At least with the Tottenham bid they would have claimed back couple of hundred million straight away.

Where has this £600m figure come from?

David Gold said that getting a £600m stadium for £30m is a good bit of business.

Whether that figure is accurate or not doesn't really matter, unless the OPLC decide to sell it.

I thought that figure was for more or less the whole olympic site? On the beeb the stadium is being quoted as costing £516 mil to build though?

Either the cost of building it has risen dramatically or reporters are just fucking confused?
