Hello mates

while I hate to hear some non-Spurs fans call us as stupid to re-sign ex player and describe it as lack of progress and real mess, they don't know the fact it is managers opinion, but i really can't see their point, because we sold Defoe & Keane for their own wish in the time ( the first one refused to sign new contract and the second one asked to leave as well as Berba ) and Chimbonda sold because we signed Hutton & Gunter ( later we signed Corluka as well but Hutton injuried for long TWICE ) ..

while it is manager opinion, about looking for creative players ( sadly didn't work for him without Arshavin and started first three games with one strikers ) .. but then it is proved we needed strikers, we kept all creative players ( despite we wanted to sell Giovani due to his injuries ) but signed 2 former strikers .. so what's the problem ?

btw, their argument about how much we paid for Defoe ?

Portsmouth owed us £7m from recent deals

Defoe left us for Believed £7.5m plus ''next sale clause'' believed worth to be £4m in current £15m deal.

according to some reports, the deal worth £18m, which mean Portsmouth settled for paying just £1m from ''next sale clause'' as it was reported Porsmouth refused to active the past clause as the new transfer for Defoe is to back to his former club.

so totaly we lost £7m from next deals, £3m that clause in this £18m deal, this is very profitable for Pompey, but we paid only £8m now, and it is £15m for Portsmouth ( without that clause ) and ( £18m with that clause ).

but i think we paid only £8m and Levy is genuis to accept it even it's meant losing recent £7m and next sale clause ( because these 7m for very old transfer and Defoe clause wouldn't be active as we can't see other club taking him away from Pompey this quickly for very big fee as well ) . so it is still fair deal for us consdering we sold him for around 7.5m or 9m ( plus big clause ) with just 18 months in Defoe contract. We could lose him for cheap if we didn't sold him and bring him back, as Defoe ( even if it's the same secnario with Ramos/Redknapp ) .. but i can't see him signing new contract with us even with Redknapp, as he can talk to a lot of clubs now, we are in poor position, it is good for him to look elsewhere and i can see potential interest from ( Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa, City, Arsenal & even Man Utd if they lost Tevez ) , but all of these clubs wouldn't want him for £15m, and Defoe just left Pompey because we are better for him, he didn't come because he love us, he just left because not first-team football, which is granted by HR now with no Keane/Berba, and we are better than Portsmouth now.

lool BS, you're right but people aguement about how selling him £7.5-9m and then signing him for £15m which mean 'stupid' business - according to these people ( not Spurs fans )

btw, Defoe £8, Palacios £14m, Chimbonda £3m, Cudicin £1.5m and Keane £12m = £38.5m

Whatever Defoe cost us you can add 12m to it because if he hadn't been so careless as to break his foot then I don't think we'd have signed Keane.

But I love Robbie so who cares.

who cares how much he cost! we got him didn't we???

yes mate, but it is not good to hear about 'stupid' or 'lack of progress' selling for £9m and signing the same player for £15m, so people needs to know that is not big loss in terms of money
