Can anyone report on how Winks performed today.

With both Dembele and Wanyama not fit, i'm intrigued to know if Winks can dominate the midfield as they can.

It's my view that's where most of the game is won and lost.

I thought Winks had a very good game again. Very tidy and always on the move and making himself available. I would not say he dominated the midfield but his pass and move game certainly complimented the excellent Dier, Right now I would still have both Dembele and Wanyama slightly ahead of Winks in the major games, Dembele for his unbelievable ball skills and strength and Wanyama for being probably the player other players hate to play against most, but Winks has his own niche that makes him and excellent option. If only he could score more goals.

A very good observation of his performance.
Goals are not a priority for someone like Winks - we have other players to do that - he'll pinch the odd one here and there a bit like Dembele - but his overall game and energy is, as you say a perfect niche - what a player he will become. A few extra goals will come as he masters his position.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback on Winks.

Always feels good when a homegrown player makes the ranks.

and Winks makes the England squad.

the player just back from a massive injury, has his call up to the England senior squad.

I'm sure he is on cloud nine, i'm chuffed for him too, but just hoping he doesn't return from the international game crooked.

We need him right now
