One change to the line-up from our last Premier League outing at Brighton last weekend - Davinson Sanchez is back for injured Christian Eriksen. Dele Alli is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Match: English Premier League (EPL) - Day 7

When: Saturday, 29th September 2018

Where: John Smith's Stadium

Referee: Craig Pawson

Kick Off: 3:00pm

Form: Huddersfield DLDLL Spurs LLLWD (all competitions)

Huddersfield lost both their EPL matches against us last season , scoring none and conceding six in the process. We are unbeaten in each of our last seven games in all competuition against Huddersfield, though only two of those meetings have come in this century (W4, D3)

Huddersfield have failed to score in their last 5 home EPL games, the longest run since Southampton's run of 6 ending 2017. and just 3 short of Man City's record run of 8 in the competition between January and may 2007. Huddersfield have failed to scofre in all threeof their EPLhome matches this season. Only twice in top-flight history has a team waited longer or their first home goal of the season (WBA in 1921-22 and Everton 1998-99 - both 5 games).

We have scored in 31 of our last 21 EPL games, failing against WBA back in May (0-1). We have lost 2 of our 5 EPL away games (W3), more than we had in our previous 11 on the road (W6 D4 L1).

Lamela has scored 2 goals in 3 EPL appearances this season, the same number he scored in 25 games in the EPL last term. He has scored in his last 2 EPL games, with both appearances coming on as a substitute. The last player to score in 3 consecutive EPL games, all from coming off the bench was Adam LeFondre in January 2013.

Good opportunity to make ground on the top four today. An attacking four of Kane, Son, Moura and Lamela should be enough though our bench will look the weakest it’s been in a while. Be nice to see Winks and Big Vic get some minutes today. Ironing and the wireless from 2.55 onwards I thinks

I hope so, my only concern is that it can potentially be a lot of running but not enough guile, finesse or clever movement. Hopefully Son and Lucas can have tidy and effective games. I'm a lot more optimistic about the effectiveness of the pair with Lamela possibly in between them, who can spot a pass better than Eriksen at times IMO.

No Dele today, his injury has flared up again apparently but hopefully we should be able to cope without him and Eriksen against Huddersfield.

How are we going to pick the lock of their defence without both Ali and Eriksen?! Yes we’ll probably have about 70% possession, but what’s the point if we can’t score. Cause you know they’ll be playing anti-football, defensive tactics and looking to get us on the break. Hopefully Son and Lamela will have a blinder together and prove me wrong!

I think you are on the best track, running at them with the ball will unsettle them and hopefully lead to goals or penalties, personally I don't think we do enough of that at the best of times.

They have the worst defence in the league, think we'll be alright.

Lamela can pick a great pass out also, as long as Kane and Lucas make the runs through we will have chances.

Leave it to Lucas :) Im hoping he plays the Eriksen role today, im thinking he would suit that role, with Sonny, Kane & Lamela front three.

Lamela, that's how. It's what he excels at.

I'm extremely interested to see how we go today with the three we suspect will play behind kane.

I’d like to see:
Kane
Son Lamela Moura

If it works well, it gives Eriksen a much needed kick up the arse

I think Son, Lamela and Moura will get through a packed defence.
Son always runs at defences as does Moura causing panic and mistakes. And Lamela can see and execute a pass through the eye of a needle so yeah, for me that'd be a good line up with or without Alli and Eriksen.

I'm getting increasingly pissed off at the amount of loyalty point hording our fan base seems to be doing. Tweeting "got two spares, meet at the ground" on a Saturday morning when we are playing in a northern town at 15:00 isn't fucking practical and seems to be getting more and more common.

If you're such a wet blanket that you're going to fuck off an away game because things aren't great at the club, then don't apply for the tickets in the first place.
