People are bothering to initiate a match thread, and then we actually start moaning about it. For those who are experiencing such discomfort with these match threads, might I suggest a) initiate them your self or stop complaining, b) try to get laid this weekend.

I have absolutely no useful comment about the actual match, but I suspect Huddersfield will play as if they are the away team, not the home team.

I made a general comment about the match thread. You make a personal insult. Says a lot about the kind of 'man' you are.

I appreciate the effort and ultimately it makes literally no difference as the thread gets into full swing, but @chrissivad banners were brilliant. Still, @mpickard2087 is a gent for taking the time. I'm not a mass contributor to these threads anyway as I tend to go into match comas and forget the world outside of the action once the game kicks off, so my opinion shouldn't count.

What if, idea here, what if each week the person who does the match thread nominates the next contributor... ?

Oooooook...........

To be honest I started out doing a couple of them in pre-season and its continued from there by default really as no-one else is seemingly doing them. If I can make a contribution to the site, after ten years of basically being a ****, then its probably about time I did.

If our professional match thread designers like Chris/whoever return, then I would be more than happy to hand the baton and great responsibility back to them... I thought I would have by now! Until then, you might all be stuck with my shoddy amateur semi-serious productions :D

All I said was that I missed the old match threads (which I do), and even said I appreciate the effort you put in (which I do). Fair enough if people disagree, but that post obviously stirred a couple of bedwetters in the process.

I like the humour involved in your OPs, just get @chrissivad to throw in a graphic and its the best of both worlds imo.
