You have obviously not spoken to many Crystal Place fans.

I am surprised at that comment coming from you Eddie with your in depth knowledge of the reserve and youth teams. Peter Taylor was a crap manager with both Leicester and Palace. He was also an outstanding England U21 coach. Why ? Either one or both of the folowing :

He is a better no 2 or youth team coach than he is a number 1.

He is good at working on young talented if unfinished players. He is crap at working with crap players. If he worked all year with Zokora zoko would still be crap.

Therefore he could never be our Manager. but as Assistant working with the talented kids we have ( Bale, Hudd, Kaboul, Taarabt , Lennon ) he would be an excellent choice. It is no coincidence that both Hudd and Lennon were excellent for the U 21's when he was there.

He would also be an excellent youth team coach. Maybe a few more would come through our so- called Academy.

I wish him well. I respect him immensely as a player. And he was obviously a decent guy. Good luck Chrissy!

Wish him all the best. Was in his prime as a player when I started supporting the club. Never looked out of place alongside Hoddle, Ossie, Ricky, etc. Many fond memories. Spurs great. End of.

Thought he should have made a start as a manager in a lower division a couple of years back. Now is his opportunity. Hope he finds a plum job. He is more qualified than your average Chelsea coach.

Thank goodness hughton has gone. he has been an almost total failure IMO. he has been very well paid for failure over many years.
I was informed that he was being paid about 250,000 per annum!!
After a long soccer career noone needs to feel sorry for him.
He will also easily get another job although maybe championship rather than premiership.
And as for Jol- he should have done the decent thing and left weeks ago but of course he never would as he could lose a big pay off (I expect CH does also).
I really think soccer and sport in general has just gone too bloody far with money and I wish fans would boycott it all to bring it all down to earth. If only fans stopped subscribing to that greedy ugly bastard murdoch (sky) and fans started to boycott matches then maybe wages and monies could be brought down to less obscene amounts.
Mclaren getting paid 2.5M for managing England and before that Sven being paid maybe 3.5M. Then apparently we offered that greasy creep mourinho over 5 million! 200,000 should be ample for anyone.
Its all gone crazy and disgusting.
I just hope if Ramos comes in he can learn good english very quickly as it is damned hard otherwise to do a decent job even if you have poyet type interpreter.
Although i hate abromovich so much that i would toast his death maybe it would not be so bad to get a mad corrupt sugar daddy to spend whatever he wants so we could actually have some success. I am really fed up now having to suffer almost total failure for so long.

I was an early doubter of Chris's but had no personal feelings against him , clearly a very nice man ....

...and maybe this was his eventual undoing .

Shame on the kiddies in this thread cursing him .

I wish he would have stayed with the club in some manner until he finds another job but I wish him well and hope something works out for him very soon.

I really hope the board know what they are doing because say what you want about Jol and Chrissy but they were both class acts who will be missed if we don't bring in the right manager.

A loyal servant to THFC but his time has come and it's a relief to know that there is a clean slate to be picked up.

The new man will stand or fall with his own ideals and staff.
